They only respond to you when they can make money from you.
Raised 3 tickets now and the only 1 replied to is the one where they would have made money from us for which we had a same day response. The 2nd and 3rd tickets were requesting to transfer our pet elsewhere, no money to be made for petlog, and lo and behold, no contact whatsoever, only the we're working on your request. Identibase produced our transfer away from then straight away and mypet where we're moving too have been helpful too despite us not signing up to a subscription with them.
Would not recommend mypet.

Ridiculous that you have to pay £15 to update your address (that you do yourself online) and the website is primitive, poor and very un-user friendly.

We are sorry to read your disappointment with the process and charges involved in microchipping your pet. We do understand that the process can be confusing and we are working with DEFRA and other industry partners to provide more clarity where we can.
The cost paid when a pet is microchipped includes the cost of the microchip, the implanter’s time, as well as registration on a database for the lifetime of the pet; be that 10 or 20 years or more. Only a very small percentage of this fee contributes to the database services which includes a 24/7 reunification service for found pets.
Petlog has moved away from a one-off “set and forget” model because, too often, keeper details are not kept up to date. This is one of the primary reasons lost pets are not successfully reunited with their owners. Our current approach is designed to encourage active engagement from keepers, helping ensure contact details remain accurate when they matter most.
Our services now operate on a subscription model, which includes annual confirmation of the details held on the database, reminders to review and update information, and enhanced reunification support. This enables swift contact to be made when a pet is found and scanned. We have also introduced functionality that notifies keepers by SMS when their pet’s microchip is searched, including the location of the scan.
For keepers who choose not to continue after the first year, their DEFRA-compliant microchip registration remains in place. They may opt out of the service, with a one-off fee applying only if they later need to access additional features, such as updating their details.

Difficult website
I used the telephone which was an excellent service. Firstly I tried the website but at 91 years of age it was to complicated and I gave up, then telephoned. It seems to me that according to various companies everyone is computer literate, they do not understand that a large number the population find modern technology extremely difficult.

Fantastic Service and Kindness
Natalie was really friendly and engaging. She changed all of the contact details because the online platform was not working. She then registered my cat as missing and explained how the system worked. She was very understanding and kind. Communication and service were both exemplary, thank you

Already a member I has cause to register another pet, spoke with a lovely young lady who was kind helpful and jolly. She not only registered Ada but updated Hollie's address details too. AT NO COST. So why is everyone banging on about £39. If you want the 5* package pay it!

My experience in registering Solo for the first time
My experience in registering for the first time Solo my Spanish Galgo with yourselves was made so easy and pleasurable from start to finish . I am not the best with new things but everything was explained in such a lovely way that i fully understood everything.
