A Great RAC Experience
Just had Adam (8318) an RAC mobile mechanic replaced my damage tensioner pulley and belt on my car. A pleasant chap, took no time at all to replace the damage parts. Took his time to explain and show me the damage parts, test that the new parts after installation and also that all other pulleys were functioning correctly and the battery were receiving charge. Overall very pleased with the entire process, for the call out, the follow up call and texts and the job itself.

Impressive service
Had to have an alternator fitted - good communication advising of arrival time - friendly team (D Williams & apprentice) who worked very quickly to replace the part ad had tested it before finishing. Very impressed!

Absolutely DISGRACEFUL service from…
Absolutely DISGRACEFUL service from RAC. My car needed recovery and I was already stranded, but apparently that wasn’t urgent enough for them.
First, they sent an RAC van to “investigate” the problem. I waited 2 HOURS for the van to arrive. After all that waiting, they then booked a recovery vehicle — and guess what? I was left waiting ANOTHER 4+ HOURS, and I was STILL waiting!
Over 6 hours of waiting for a simple recovery. Completely unacceptable.
What makes it even worse is that when you’re stranded, you have no choice but to sit around and wait while RAC repeatedly wastes your time. The whole experience was incredibly frustrating, stressful and utterly ridiculous.
For a company that is supposed to provide roadside assistance, their service was slow, disorganised and completely lacking in urgency. I honestly cannot understand how a breakdown service can leave a customer stranded for this long.
I would NEVER recommend RAC to anyone after this experience. If you value your time, your patience and your sanity, AVOID RAC. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID.
