I’m not one for making reviews, but, I Called Spectrum Insurance today following taking out an extended 4 year car policy, and 1) got to speak to a human!!! wow, so impressed with the help and service I received from EMILY. She was very polite, EXTREMELY helpful, liaised with the garage (not one of their authorised garages) whilst I was on the phone, and within 15 minutes or so had sorted my claim a seamless transaction. Thank you so much, you and your company deserve all the business you get it’s 5***** from me

I bought my VW Golf from Car giant

I bought my VW Golf from Car giant . I bought there warranty. It’s been a long journey to get to where I am now however in the end I was referred to there gearbox specialist Brittanic in Tottenham. I met Nick who I explained my situation. 2 days later he restored my faith , my claim was authorised & my car drives great . Thank you to the spectrum team

Wery poor customer service the lady on…

Wery poor customer service the lady on the phone raised her voice and was intimidating. They cut me off when i told them I want claim a refund as I sold my car. They tricked me into signing up with them, when I had to fix my car they refused to cover me and quoted me £8,000. Please don't sign up with them it's all a scam.

You first reported an issue with your vehicle in late July of this year and were advised by one of our claims handlers on how to proceed with submitting a claim. Approximately three months later, you contacted us again regarding the same issue, and it was clear that no diagnosis had yet been carried out.
We were then contacted by your chosen repairer, who informed us that the vehicle required substantial engine repairs. These repair costs exceeded the warranty claims limit you selected and were fully aware of when purchasing your vehicle from the dealership. Despite this, Spectrum Insurance was willing to authorise the claim up to the policy limit; however, you chose not to proceed with the claim.
After reviewing all call recordings, we can confirm that at no point were our advisors intimidating, nor were any calls terminated by our team.

Spectrum does not provide cover for ELECTRIC VEHICLES although they sell it.

Spectrum does not provide cover for ELETRIC VEHICLES. When I bought a car from CAR GIANT they offered me a 3 year insurance saying my vehicle will be covered, including battery. When I contacted Spectrum, I was told that main batteries is not covered. CAR GIANT shouldn't have tricked me into buying insurance that does not comprehensively cover electric vehicles. Very frustrating and disapointing.

The warranty you purchased clearly outlines what is covered and what is not covered. Unfortunately, the battery is listed as an exclusion, and this is not hidden in any small print. The warranty is comprehensive and provides protection for the vast majority of your vehicle; however, as with any warranty, it cannot cover every eventuality.
When purchasing any warranty, it is always important to read the terms carefully to ensure it meets your needs and expectations.

As.long as your car follows the criteria for your warranty there is absolutely no problems at all. Quick to pay out and the garage we use for warranty work liase with eachother..smooth as clock work

Took too long to look at my claim

Took too long to look at my claim, around 4-5 weeks, only to reject it with no pro-active direct feedback to me, will be taking my case for further review, but really really disappointed, if I could give a zero rating would have done so

The situation and exclusions were explained well and timely. I was aware of what was going on at all times. Settlement was prompt.

Couldn’t of helped us more

Spectrum were very helpful when our car stopped working only 5 months after purchasing it from Car Giant. 11 months on and our car is still causing us problems and Spectrum are still helping to get these issues rectified.

STAY AWAY from this company! This was the one of most stressful…

This was the one of most stressful experiences I have ever had with an insurance company. They time after time tried to wiggle out of paying the claim. Eventually after many many battles calls emails, 2 different garages and an engineers report they paid a % of the claim but even then they kept referring to the policy wording and trying wiggle of other related parts needed to get back on the road! My complaint was essentially ignored and they said they hadn’t done anything wrong and admitted no liability for causing so many delays and stress. No hire car was offered until the claim was accepted which took months had to beg and borrow and hire my own!they offered £100 and I was of the road for 5 months. I requested a subject access request ( SARS report ) which has also been ignored and I have now registered a complaint direct with the ICO for failing to provide the information I requested. Stay well away from this company they are the cowboys of the car warranty industry.
I would never recommend Spectrum in a million years. STAY AWAY they should not be FCA registered.ince j have the information requested I will be taking my complaint to the financial ombudsman.

Amazing firm

Amazing firm unfortunately this is the second time in 2 years I've had to use them and both time they helped me out and sorted the claim for me. Great service great professionalism,I already tell people I know to get warranty with this firm and will definitely be staying with them for the foreseeable future.
