DISAPPOINTED
Disappointed with my digital shower as it goes cold after a few minutes. It was only installed in January.
Vado sent an engineer out twice, have changed the unit, and also the shower hose which was warping inside,
and are blaming it on my 3 yr old boiler. I’ve had the boiler checked and there is no fault. The boiler works perfectly well for everything else in the house, including our other digital shower (Aqualisa). They are now charging me for the call outs as they are blaming the boiler (one of which was in February - it is now mid October).
We’ve come across a solution ourselves which is to turn our sink tap on while we are having a shower and this keeps the temperature constant, not ideal but better than the water going freezing cold. Get an Aqualisa if I were you.

Aquablade square showerhead 300mm
I have a aquablade square showerhead 300mm, which was purchased and fitted 5 years ago. Sadly it has rusted and the metal has flaked off around two edges and become unusable, which has led me to purchase a new replacement one of the same model.
I understand that there is a 15 year warranty on the item, and I would like to return the corroded orginal to you for inspection...I could provide photos if that helps..
What's the next steps here?

So...you manufacturer a product, a user of that product when it fails, goes out and buys a replacement (exactly the same model) and suggests you might want to inspect this one to learn more regarding its usage over time...and you respond as above.
Hmm...given the above response, I will recycle the old unit at my local recycling centre.
Oh..and I won't be registering my new replacement shower head and I won't be buying another product from Vado again.

VADO aftersales is amazing
Last Sunday, our consealed shower tap got the handle suddenly pumped out. We managed to isolate the water and quickly called VADO hotline.
Really want to say a big thank you for the Quick answer from MR STEVE on the hotline and the Aftersales support by Louise.
They are professional and we got a repalcement in two days!
this is really really needed a good review for VADO and We will defo go for VADO for next house project

Amazing design and great build quality
Bought a Vado shower valve and shower head just over 12 months ago, it’s worked perfectly without fault.
This brand is very well produced and the detail to design is second to non.
I would definitely recommend this brand to anyone thinking about fitting out a bathroom.

Non working digital shower system
Our electronic shower ( Model # IDE-147B-C/P) failed. It was just out of the 5 year warranty and initially the after sales team said the only way to resolve the problem would be for me to purchase a new control box at £700. After a few e-mails the after sales team (Matt) and engineering support (Steve) responded extremely well. They arranged for me to purchase from them ( an event not normally "allowed" ) a low cost replacement PCB as that was thought to have failed, but after fitting it the problem still remained. VADO then sent out at their cost an excellent 3rd party engineer who came, within a few days, fully prepared with a new control box and within an hour the problem was identified as a failed external transformer.
VADO - you did an excellent job in maintaining a happy customer, and I will mention this to all our friends - many thanks for working with me to resolve the issue

Bought a beautiful kitchen mixer tap 5…
Bought a beautiful kitchen mixer tap 5 years ago and has worked just as it should until about 6 months ago when the hot tap started constantly dripping when turned off. Called the plumber out who’s took the tap apart, only to tell me that the hard water has damaged the inside and I now need a new tap.
I have never had any issues of this kind so I am very disappointed as I really like this tap and I paid good money for it!

Vado mixers
I have had at least 3 Vado shower tap mixers in more than one location over the last dozen years or so.
After a few years the (imho> badly designed) temperature control part of 1 shower mixer seized up. Vado replaced it after quite a bit of chasing. Unfortunately the replacement went too after 3 or so years and then the cartridge started leaking despite periodic removal and cleaning. 10 years on and I junked the arrangement at £600 cost to me. In a flat I own the Vado shower mixer knob thread has died (again maybe 10 years in).
Their products undoubtedly look nice and generally function well, and (continue to be offered to me by plumbers who say they are good) just maybe I've been unlucky, but because of the product life (you may think 10 years is ok, I don't) and customer service I now avoid Vado.

Taps fall apart and peel after less…
Taps fall apart and peel after less than five years of use. Vado blames hard water and tells you off for not wiping your taps after each use and agrees 'to replace parts' so you end up disassembling mixer taps and replacing one peeling base with a new one. So buy Vado only in case you want all this hassle. Otherwise go with Grohe or even someone less upmarket as Bathstore, whose taps will last for decades without such problems.

Underwhelmed! Register your products ASAP
Bought two Velo showers and two Photon taps for a new build in 2019. So far the fitting between the flexible pipe, which the pipe screws on to and the chrome part of the shower head started leaking. Out of warranty so no FOC replacement. A thin line of araldite cured the problem, but it isn't good. Problem two is that the shower flow cartridge has started leaking when the shower is turned off. Again, four months out of warranty so will have to pay for replacement.
Photon taps have become jerky in their movement so it is difficult to control the flow. I understand from Vado that this can be cured by taking the flow cartridge out and cleaning it. In comparison, I have an Ideal Standard tap of similar design, which is still working perfectly and is as smooth as the day it was installed.
All the above leaves me feeling somewhat underwhelmed with the quality of products. Would I buy Vado again? Probably not despite their nice appearance.
One learning point is that you should register your products ASAP. In the middle of a hectic self-build, I didn't and, therefore, have to pay for parts. Sadly, it would seem likely that you will need to make a claim.

I had an issue with a thermostatic shower valve that was over two years old and they replaced the faulty part without any issues.

After spending a considerable amount of money with Vado for our new bathroom, we are so disappointed with the shower unit that has been installed, a Booth & Co shower column. We chose this brand after they were recommended. What a mistake. Teh unit is extremely noisy and can be heard throughout our home. We have other (cheaper) showers and they do not make this type of noise. What has been the most disappointing part of the whole process is that we have been made to feel we are imagining this problem and that its "normal" for a unit such as this or its a plumbing issue of ours.. Although an engineer visited before Christmas we are still waiting for the problem to be resolved. To make matters worse the after sales support do not seem able to deal with feedback or resolve issues, making further delays. I can only express how disappointed i have been treated by them. In my opinion, these all singing all dancing brands are not worth the money.

I recently had cause to complain about the customer service at Vado on their (lack of) response to performance issues with a Sensori shower we inherited when we bought our home recently. Although the actual temperature indicator on the shower unit is still not visible, I have reset the CPU by interrupting the electrical supply for a minute or two, and, more importantly, received a very helpful call from Triton, who are the engineering resource for Vado (why wasn’t I told this weeks ago?)
I now feel confident in the product (it’s working satisfactorily) and that if it misbehaves again I’ll know who to call. If the temperature indicator was visible, I’d give 5 stars ⭐️

Now on my 2nd Vado shower and it's failed again. Don't have the strength to pay the call out charge and reckon I'll just find a plumber and replace it. Worst shower product I have ever known.

Vado Identity horrendous experience 😕…
Vado Identity horrendous experience 😕 I have had 5 replacement units as they have broken over and over. As you are really stuck with the product due to the way it is plumbed in they have you by the short and curlies!!!! They offered no contribution to having the replacement refitted. I am now at the point that as I bought my first one in 2012 they are refusing to support, telling me I have to pay £530 ish plus VAT. Well the one I am replacing is no where near the warranty time and the person who wrote the amazing email said I have to "cheque" the pipes as it is probably them being blocked causing the problem. I would have expected after the horrendous experience I have had, changing multiple units, they would have at least offered me a reduction. SO SO disappointed and wish I had NEVER had them installed. I have 3 so will be talking nearly £2000 if they all go 😡

Absolutely the worst showers and…
Absolutely the worst showers and customer service I have ever experienced. Shower comes on in the middle of the night multiple times (8), heat at 99 degrees! We are on our 7th replacement as Vado suggested it was a faulty item and then changed to issues with our boiler ( which is brand new) water pressure etc. 18 months of endless problems. Avoid at all costs.

Stay away from the Vado sensori
I have had a Vado sensori now for 1.5 years and am about to receive my 3rd processor, the previous 2 have both failed and leaked from the actuator inside the valve. I have no faith in the 3rd one and when that fails I will be expecting Vado to pay to have my bathroom wall retiled when I change to another brand. I would not recommend this valve to anyone as it seems Vado have no idea why this keeps happening and are doing nothing to fix the problem.
I will say that they are quick to send a replacement, however, I would rather the problem be resolved than send another valve that will fail again with no explanation.

Vado Sensori not very Smart Touch
This product is novel and attractive, and worked well until a guest directed the hand shower at the controller, at which point the unit locked up and could only be reset by turning off the power (not easy and probably risky when you are dripping wet).
The issue was known to Vado, who in fairness, promptly despatched a new controller with a software modification.
The modification has the option to work around the problem by delaying or inhibiting the response of the touch screen.
The problem then is that a normal quick touch or indeed a prolonged touch doesn’t work. The user has to press the screen for a time between about half and one second! This is not easy and often results in an unreliable outcome.
With the benefit of hindsight, I would not have bought the product, but it is now part of the fabric of the bathroom, so I am stuck with it. A lesson learned - do my research!
