Excellent Call Centres!

I've been with Bikesure for 2 years now and they have proven to be excellent (with one exception). Their staff are superb - professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The pricing is competetive (Bikesure are worth more for the staff alone). Wait times are not too bad and they do advise in their emails when the best times to call are. My one niggle, refers to modifications; I confirmd last year that I do not need to pay an admin fee, when notifying Bikesure of any cosmetic modification (mirros, screens etc.). When I notified them this year, I incurred a charge by the Insurer for the last 15 days of my policy. If insurers do charge for making any cosmetic modifications to the vehicle , this should be made clear in any inital and/or renewal process. It would also be helpful if a table of common modifications could be communicated/made available, that are exempt from requiring a notication to either Bikesure or the Insurer (similar to what is provided by another well known motorcycle insurer).

I am so disappointed I was recommended…

I am so disappointed I was recommended this insurer and went with it without researching it properly and exploring other options. The insurance from the outset was astronomical in cost despite the fact I lived very rurally in an almost zero crime area with no motorbike or vehicle thefts for years in the area. As I was told how ‘good’ the company was I swallowed this and paid it. I then moved to a dodgy area, it went up by a bit but not much. I then had a final move to a much safer area, what is known as a really nice area, where my scooter was now stored in a secure car park and the safest it’s ever been (also with the same disc lock, heavy duty chain and heavy duty cover as before). I was quoted an increase of over £800 bringing my insurance to over £230 per month. This was obviously not affordable, especially for a scooter and I had to cancel. This cost me another £500. I went with another insurer and for comprehensive cover got £44 per month. I also asked about food delivery insurance once and was quoted over £4,000 a year. My other insurer have quoted comprehensive cover with comprehensive food delivery cover for a total of £1,000 a year. I feel completely exploited and have no money now until payday despite just getting paid because of getting trapped like this with Bikesure. Many other motorbike/scooter riders have commented that this price is not normal, them themselves being with them and they are paying significantly less. This was a financially devastating decision to go with Bikesure. I wish I never heard of them and I wish I never took the recommendation at face value. Keep your money safe ✌️

Avoid this company

Im sorry but i tried to get insurance with these a while ago and they just wouldn’t listen to me about my employment changing and refused to speak with me, it was the most ridiculous and rude way i have ever been treated by a company in my life and all these reviews getting met with the same boilerplate response of “Your comments have been noted and will be used to help improve our service moving forward.”is absolutely laughable and is a perfect reflection of how this company does not care in the slightest bit at all about their customer base.

When I compared the price of my…

When I compared the price of my automatic renewal I was pleasantly surprised to find it was in fact less than a lot of compared insurers. I never for one moment expected this and it really inspired some confidence in Bikesure as a company. They are not here to rip the customer off but are, in fact, very fair and honest with their pricing.

Bait-and-switch price-raising tactics

I found Bikesure to be a deceptive time-wasting insurer. Like a lot of us I spent about an hour getting the right insurance quote with the correct details on a price comparison website. I had Bikesure leading my quotes but when I went to pay online they insisted that I call in to speak with them. I then spent more time on the phone going through the entire form all over again and, despite no change in details, they increased the premium that they had advertised on the price comparison website by 25%!

This business practice is deceptive and time wasting. I have now realized that Bikesure do not have the technology to give you quotes online on their own website yet pretend to do so on price comparison websites. You can see this by simply visiting their website - all their business is conducted on the phone.

To add to this business tactic the representative I spoke with then started to tell me off for filling in details wrongly, details that the price comparison website they quoted off had not asked for. Very poor.
