Ive Been with Bikesure for around 14yrs now. Never had a problem with a claim (2). Absolutly amazing Insurence provider, My cover always seems to drop. Never seems to inclease each year. I will not even concider changing my supplier. 10/10 everytime.

Bikesure are primarily a glossy cover for their less illustrious under-writing partnerships, which in my case is AGEAS.
I have had insurance with this company for many years and have never made any claim of any kind.
In early August my Ducati Streetfighter V4 was stolen in a random act outside of my house, less than 10 minutes after returning home. My bike was kept locked and garaged over half a mile from my residential address and this was wholly agreed with by Bikesure. I had gone home prior to taking it to my garage as I was in full leathers and wanted to change out of them before having to walk over half a mile back home.
It turns out there was a 'garaging' clause that was added to my policy that according to them invalidates my claim. This states that "Indemnity provided by section 4 of your policy will not apply in respect of loss and/or damage to your motorcycle caused directly by theft, attempted theft or malicious damage unless your motorcycle is kept in a locked and secured building and your motorcycle is a) at your private dwelling place or b)at any other address specifically agreed by us"
This was NEVER explicitly pointed out to me at the point of sale and even after reading it again it's hard to understand what it means, particularly as Bikesure were totally aware my bike was kept locked and garaged away from my residential address!
This policy absolutely goes against and violates FAC ICOBS rules. Insurance companies have to work for the benefit of the policy holder and act fairly - in this case they haven't at all.
Not only have I had the trauma of losing my virtually brand new bike I had to have the absolute lack of empathy and understanding from this company. It's shocking how bad I've been treated and disregarded by them. I'm looking at losing £20,000 and not even a manager was prepared to talk to me about this issue or to offer any form of condolence. It's appalling companies like this can get away with it. I would advise you to check your policy clearly and if ANYTHING doesn't make sense, question them because I guarantee they will not hesitate to invalidate your claim regardless of fairness or reason.
My rejection is with the Financial Ombudsman and I feel hopeful they will turn this situation around but I will do everything in my power to highlight this company's terrible handling of this case and to encourage people to find their insurance elsewhere.

EDIT: You can tell how much they value us as customers to their pitifully shallow response. I'ver lost a brand new bike and they are "sorry we didn't meet expectations" What a joke!!!

I found this company by chance as I have just built a bike and was having trouble insuring it! This was no problem for Bikesure. very easy, pleasant people to talk to and everything was sorted out very quickly.
I would highly recommend Bikesure for your first call for your insurance, rather as I did, make it my last!
