Faulty new car on delivery. Advertised features missing. Brushed off by Sales team.
Bought a brand new Cupra from here (York branch). Firstly the car was physically delivered to my address by a salesman with a warning light on the dashboard. This ultimately took 4 return trips to the dealer to be resolved and involved the loss of use of the car. A pre delivery inspection should have spotted this. No offer of compensation for the inconvenience and time.
The car was (and still is) advertised on Cupra’s website as having two technical features which it does not. The salesman on my test drive specifically discussed one of those features and how it worked. When raising this with the salesman and then the Sales Manager I was passed off to their service department when this is a sales issue. I bought a car advertised as having certain features which it doesn’t have. Even the service manager was unhappy it had been “dumped “ on him (although the service manager was extremely helpful).
Ultimately it turns out the car is misadvertised. I have the screen prints of Cupra’s website and the cache pages showing it was advertised from release date as having those features. I’ve involved Cupra head office and the dealer is washing their hands of it saying it’s not their fault and they rely on the brochure instead of the advertising. Had I known the two features would not be present in this car I would probably have purchased the lower grade within the range and saved my money or bought another vehicle.
So the moral is, buy a car here and if there are issues expect to be brushed off by the sales team who want to move onto their next customer.

Warranty difficulties
At DM Keith Doncaster the sales team were great and routine servicing has been straightforward but the problem that we have experienced relates to warranty repair in the event of breakdown.
The RAC attended when our vehicle broke down but we could not be towed to the DM Keith site for warranty inspection due to lack of space as its a small site.
DM Keith offered a date in the future to undertake the warranty inspection but since the car was undriveable that wasn't of help & we ended up towed elsewhere for a repair that should have been covered under warranty.
I would suggest prospective buyers keep this in mind if warranty is a consideration.

Avoid if you don't like being mucked about and ripped off
I regret signing up to the DM Keith service plan at Kia Leeds. I originally booked a stay and wait service and MOT in mid January. When I mentioned an issue with a USB-C port which wasn't working, I was suddenly told the car would need to stay with them for the whole day. I asked if they could collect and return the vehicle to my work address (was told this was part of the service plan), but was told no drivers were available and I’d need to wait another month for this, so I paid for taxis instead.
When I collected the car, they confirmed the USB port was faulty, but said I would have to book in again for the repair, and the car would be needed for two days. I asked once more about collection and return, and this time was told it could be arranged, but not until mid March.
So I waited until March and this morning I rang to confirm what time the car would be collected, only to be told there was no booking. They agreed to take the car anyway, but later informed me they had only just ordered the part today and it is on backorder until next week. The car will now be returned tomorrow at an unspecified time, unfixed, and I’ll have to rebook yet again “in a few weeks”.
I was also told when I signed up that the car would be cleaned after every service. There are now signs up saying that this is no longer offered for “environmental reasons”. However, if you purchase a service plan directly through Kia, cleaning is still included and Kia also states that the maximum MOT charge is £35, yet DM Keith charges £39.
Avoid if you don't like being mucked about and ripped off.
Great service and very smooth process
I recently visited D. M. Keith after seeing an advert on Facebook, just to have a look without much expectation. But I was really impressed with the whole experience.
Lee Kennedy was very welcoming and supportive from the start. He explained everything clearly and helped complete most of the process on the very first day itself, which made things very easy for me.
The entire team was friendly and helpful, and the overall process, including the finance approval, was very quick and smooth.
Really happy with the service. I would definitely recommend, and special thanks to Lee Kennedy for his support.

Outstanding Service and a Great Deal on My BYD Dolphin
I had a fantastic experience with DM Keith BYD Leeds and can’t recommend them highly enough.
They gave me a great deal on my BYD Dolphin, which immediately set them apart, but what really impressed me was the level of service throughout.
The handover process was excellent — they took the time to walk me through the car in detail, showing me all the features and explaining everything clearly so I felt completely confident driving away.
What really stood out was their patience while dealing with issues caused by my (now former) bank. It wasn’t a straightforward situation, but they remained understanding, supportive, and professional the entire time, which made a stressful situation much easier to handle.
Overall, a top-class experience from start to finish. If you’re considering a BYD, I’d strongly recommend DM Keith Leeds.

Terrible customer service
Recently bought a brand new Ibiza FR from the York dealership.
My main issue is that I was over charged £500 and trying to get the money refunded in my account as turned into a nightmare. Keep being promised the money from end of February and I'm still waiting.asked to speak to a manager twice and heard nothing. They advertise good customer service, but not in my case .
I was also disappointed that I'd booked a week in advance to come in to get my new car and trade mine in
2 days before asked to change the time , which I did , and then on the day Nathan who was meant to be dealing with me passed me on to a very young lad , which is why the over payment happened.
And one more gripe ( which is petty , but I'm angry and upset about how I've been treated) is when buying a brand new car u would expect the clock to be set at the right time . Not very professional at all.
So with my experience of DM Keith York I DON'T RECOMMEND , at all.
It's spoilt the pleasure of buying a new car .

Recent purchase from DM Keith select Bradford. Oil leak noticed after drive home. Dealership confirmed that the car had been into their ford ‘specialist’ garage a few days before for a repair of said oil leak but claim this was a completely new problem. Independent garage assessed, felt the repair had been completed incorrectly and furthermore deliberately covered up with subsequent poor work, sent picture evidence and invoice which the dealership refused to pay in its entirety claiming the independent garage made false accusations.
The dealership led us to believe we were not entitled to get our money back and claimed we would have to deal with their ‘legal team’ which are non existent. We did get our money back after weeks of stressful negotiation all whilst being without a car. The bill from the independent garage who inspected the vehicle had to be covered by us as the dealership refused to pay for this also.
The mechanics who complete work for DM Keith have proven they cannot be trusted and will cover up shoddy workmanship to the buyers cost.
The same car is currently listed for sale again a couple of days after it was returned after being ‘repaired’ by the same mechanics.
Recommend you avoid buying the ford edge with the registration MB19MLO and avoid DM Keith select Bradford as the mechanics who inspect and repair cars have proven to be untrustworthy.

New Honda Civic
recently bought a car from this dealership and the whole experience was excellent from start to finish. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and never pushy, which made the process feel relaxed and straightforward. They took the time to answer all my questions and made sure I understood every step of the purchase.

Very disappointed
After booking twice online for a service ( I was on a service plan) both appointments were cancelled by DM keith Huddersfield as they couldn't fit it in. First one I had one weeks notice the second appointment was cancelled 2 days before. Finally had the service done and a few issues regarding rear tyres but nothing seemed urgent. Driving home from the service the engine light came on, however left this as it was booked for an MOT 2 and a half weeks later.( Also couldn't get an MOT on a sat until May, 3 months time?! ) Was told today it would fail MOT on tyres and engine light being
on. Engine light on due to EVAP tube and cannister which was near enough £600 to fix. In the past 2 months went to a trusted garage who did a full diagnostic and said there was nothing wrong with it and said the engine light can come on if you are overfilling the car and the fumes cannot 'escape' so cleared the EVAP system, engine light off until driving home for DM keith after service. Just not happy with their service, not even had the car 2 years. I would not recommend taking any service plans out with them as I think they have you over a barrel! I just don't trust them to be honest and give you a fair deal. I appreciate things can happen with cars but was previously with Arnold Clark who in my opinion provided a much better service. Skoda don't even wash your car anymore after a service which was very disappointing.

Recently had contact with two branches…
Recently had contact with two branches of this company, both as bad as each other.
Hull. Went in to look at a used Skoda Kodiaq, I appreciate they only had one in but the salesman didn't have time to deal with me as he had an 'appointment'. Maybe put some more staff on?
Grimsby. Even worse. They had a Kodiaq on an online auction site, I rang them to enquire if a towbar could be fitted. Unfortunately I have a French surname, which I understand is difficult to pronounce. However, they didn't mute their phone properly and I heard the insulting comments. When I did manage to ask the question he said he would check if one could be fitted and he would ring me back later that day.
They never bothered.
I will now be looking at other makes of car and definitely will not return to D M Keith.

Very professional and transparent. I contacted them through facebook recommendation. But their sales people are very good and no lie about anything to grab customer.
