I had to clean the hair off my chair from a previous haircut, I had a clipper cut from a #1 on the side and a #2 on top. I got one shave in one row in one direction, that was it. No checking to see if it was all even. I went to get it washed and was given cold water out of the tap until I said something. I got out to the car and looked in the mirror and it was all even. I gave up
went home and went over the cut with my own electric clipper.

I'm not picky about my haircut, but

I'm not picky about my haircut. It was ok. It's their payment and scheduling systems I don't like.

I've been getting my hair cut at the Supercuts store in my neighborhood in Houston, TX, since moving here 8 years ago. Yesterday, I went to pay the $18.95 bill, but their system forced a choice of a 15%, 20%, or 25% gratuity, or not gratuity at all. Their 15% gratuity was over $4 instead of $2+. 20% would not have even been $4. So, I tried to enter $3, and it gave the lady a very generous $18 tip! She immediately thanked me for the very generous tip before I saw what happened and disappeared. Supercuts stole from me. It did not enter the $3, or go to a different screen, but immediately charged my card. I'm pretty furious about this deliberate overcharge through their system.

The second thing was that tried to force a choice of choosing what gender I identified as. I won't do business with a company that wants their customers to not just approve of, but to also actively participate in the delusions of a few loud of people.

I tried to contact customer service, but there is no email address and the phone number is an AI agent that can't do anything. Their webform allows complaints about individual stores and stylists, but I didn't want to embarrass her since she had nothing to do with it and thinks I'm an EXTREMELY generous guy.

Based on these several interactions, the false choices, the stolen money, fake customer service AI agent, I've decided that I'll not go back ever again. I'll do business with above board real people mom and pop shops going forward.

Never Going Back Again

After 4 years of coming here and recommending to my friends and family, I will no longer step foot in this shop.

I used to come here, and pay a little more, instead of Naval Base Bremerton shops, because the cut was always nicer. Now the quality you receive is a god-awful joke.

Today I walked into the shop and asked for a fade from 0 and 1/4 inch off the top, the same haircut I have received from multiple barbers here for 4 years.

The first thing that was said to me was "I don't feel comfortable giving fades from zero, can we do it from the guard instead." This is the second time, from two different barbers, I have been told I could not get the haircut I normally get.

Today was the second time. I came back today to try and give the shop another chance, but was completely and utterly appalled at the cut I received.

I ended up agreeing to the cut from guard. My "fade" was done in 30 seconds. My 1/4 inch off the top was 9 snips of a scissor. The barbers hands were shaking the entire time.

After about 5 min (2 minutes of actual cutting, 3 min were answering phone calls on the store phone and checking in other guests) my barber turned me around and handed me the handheld mirror.

I thought they were joking.

The sides of my hair was gouged in multiple places, there was no fade. It was just the guard all the way to the top. Not to mention the top of my head was super uneven.

I asked that they fade the sides of my head. They looked at me like they had no idea what I was talking about. They took the clippers with what looked like a 3 on them and very quickly (<15 seconds) went up and down the sides. No fade at all.

They then gave me the mirror again to ask how it was. Honestly I was in a bit of shock. I have never received a haircut that horrendous before. I asked one more time for them to fix the sides, even though I knew it was a lost cause. They just gouged my hair again multiple times over the course of 1 min.

I paid $28 dollars to get my hair completely destroyed from a "professional" barber just to now be trying to fix it myself at home.

Like I said at the top, I will never, ever be coming here again. One mistake is ok, it happens, but when this type of thing happens multiple times with the store, it is a pattern.

Though I am quite angry, I do not blame my barber, I blame the management that allowed this to happen more than once in the first place.

I should just used my $15 Amazon clippers on myself at this point.

Will not return

The shop I have gone to for many years closed so I am trying various barbers each month. They have all been within a couple dollars price wish. Supercuts was in the middle. The shop wasn’t busy and had 2 barbers on duty. The customer before me had been there a week prior and was having her hair done again as they left her bangs way too long.My haircut was a typical businessman’s cut, and the stylist was one of the quickest I’ve seen. However the cut was not impressive. Despite mentioning that it grew fast it was left too long and the sides uneven. I shouldn’t need to fix the haircut at home. My person was not very talkative or welcoming, but the other person on duty seemed to be friendlier and comfortable dealing with the public. I am not planning on returning.

No returns or refunds. Smelly products

Sadly, Supercuts does not allow returns on products. I am unhappy with the Paul Mitchell hairspray because it smells bad. I dont like the Kendra spray leave in conditioner because it is awkward to use and had high levels of overspray. I used both products once and was denied a return.
Unhappy, disappointed, and won't buy product from Supercuts.

Recurring Service Review-Christina

Christina, at the Sunrise Village location in Tucson Arizona is simply the best. I go in every two weeks, for last year or so, for a beard trim. Christina has a professional approach, is polite, funny, attentive, and skilled in her craft. I will now ruin my beard on my own, let it grow wild, or both before going anywhere else.

Great service!

I’ve been going to Supercuts in N Smithfield for over a year. I am very satisfied with the service .I previously was going to a salon and paying more than double the cost for the same cut and color. Nicole does an excellent job on my hair. I am a very satisfied customer.

Supercuts actually sucks like im 11 and my mom said she was taking me to super cuts and I kept telling her I want to go to a barber but she said no and took me to Supercuts and I litterly said what I want and to do nothing to the top and showed a picture of What I want on the side and I told them I wanted a low fade on the side and leave it alone i said to do a 3 or 4 bro they gave me a 2 and put gel in my hair and I never said I wanted to put gel in my hair like bro they are the worst place to get a haircut

Communication issues between customer service department and physical location.

I called customer service to find out discounts or any offers were available near my location. The rep gave me inaccurate info about my appointment citing that one location had 2 spots available and that they'll be able to take me in even if its within 1 hr of closing time. I arrive at the location only for the reception to tell me that they wouldnt be able to take me in and that my spot was moved to next morning which does not make sense.

Not going back

Not going back. Quonset Supercuts, RI. I have short, very curly hair. The stylist was clueless because first off, she used a spray bottle to wet my very curly hair. I ask her to shape it up for me so that it doesn't stick out on the sides. *Spray spray spray* I said you have to cut my hair dry. She told me that my hair will shrink down once it dries. WRONG. My hair poofs up as it dries. She didn't listen to me. I told her I look like Frodo Baggins. It was all misshapen, and asked could she fix it? She said she didn't know what else to do for me? 🤔Huh?? Isn't she supposed to be the professional?? I had to tell her where to cut, some from the sides so I don't end up going from Frodo to Bozo. Welp. She did an AWFUL job. I told her it was good enough, because, "she didn't know what else to do for me" anyway. I paid her, AND even tipped her $10 (why, I don't know. Being too nice, I guess. That haunts me). Never again. Won't go back. And no pictures. I look frigging awful.

If you are a Supercut customer, please read this. This franchisee maybe ripping you off.

This review is about all the Supercut franchise owned by Supercut by Moxie. This company owns many of them in California.

To start with never patronage them. I do not have a problem with the workers but the company that owns it. Most of the review on BBB is the same as my complaint. Here is what I wrote on yelp about Supercut by Moxie. If you have patronize one of their many location and used your credit card in charging their services you need to read this and also check your credit card statement. The Better Business Bureau gave them a "F". Go to Supercut by Moxie and try to avoid the Supercut location that they own. Supercut headquarters should look into this franchisee and stop this franchisee from destroying their name.

Don't ever sign up for Supercut's Monthly plan. The problem is that when you cancel the membership they continue to charge you. Even though the credit card company reverse the charges, this company continues to charge your card. The people that owns many of these Supercut franchises ( Moxie) is fraudulently continues to charge your credit card hoping that you do not know.

The workers at this location are great but the owner is a crook to continue to charge membership when you ask them to stop. When I call their number 415-634-0224 after you complains about their fraudulent charges, they immediately hangs up on you.

If they did this to me, I am sure many are affected. If you have prior membership for their monthly plan or use your credit card for payment of services, please check your credit card statement. The owner of this Supercut maybe charging your card without your knowledge.

If you are the owner of this franchise, you know who I am, please STOP all these fraudulent charges. If you continues, I will be posting this on social media sites until you stop this rip off.

STOP RIPPING OFF YOUR CUSTOMERS. YES... i AM ANGRY THAT WHAT YOU ARE DOING TO ME.

I went to the BBB and read their complaint. There are many more like myself where this Supercut owned by Moxie is doing the same to others as what they did to me. This is a very dishonest company Trust pilot does not allow me to have a link in the review, so google yelp San Francisco Noe Valley location for Supercut and read my review.

If you click on the BBB review, this company is NOT accredited by the Better Business Bureau. The BBB gave them a "F" rating. Read the reviews most customer are complaining about how they rip off their customer. The workers at the salon does a great job but the owner of all these Supercut (Supercut by Moxie) is just a DISHONEST company to say the least. When I called them today, all I got was an answering machine. When I told them how dishonest they are, the person on the other end just hung up on me. Please patronage another salon (not owned by Supercut by Moxie) that does not rip off their customer. I just had a discussion with the credit card fraud section and they will plan to investigate these dishonest owners. Read the reviews, these people are doing to many others. If you have used your credit card for payment at one of the Moxie owned franchised please review your statement.
