A huge thank you to the team at Wickes Wigston, particularly Dulal Miah and Benjamin Roper, for supporting our Memorial Garden project at Leicester College through the Wickes Community Support scheme. Your generous donation has helped us purchase equipment that our students with learning difficulties and disabilities can use to maintain and care for the garden, developing valuable skills while enjoying the wellbeing benefits of spending time outdoors. Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service. I was unsure which product would suit the job I was doing from the wide range of stock. I spoke with Jill H who took the time to help me and ended up choosing a better quality product than I intended. Makes a big difference when your staff know what they are selling!

great customer service

i wanted some gravel that was out of stock but was being delivered and i could see what i wanted in the yard behind the barrier. i begged them to let me have some. i couldn’t come back the next day. eventually someone took pity and went and fetched it for me. great customer service.

Caitlin was brilliant from the start

Caitlin was brilliant from the start. We had a bit of an idea for what we wanted and she took that and offered lots of options along the same lines that we'd not considered. Very reassuring to have the full package and not have to worry about all the organising.

Not good service

On Wednesday I was waiting at the tills for approximately five minutes before being served. During this time, a member of staff — a blonde woman wearing glasses — appeared to be using her phone rather than assisting customers. When I was eventually served, I found her attitude to be quite rude and unprofessional.

I also noticed that there was a new member of staff working alongside her. Unfortunately, this interaction did not set a good example in terms of customer service standards, which I would expect from your store.

I felt this experience was disappointing and not reflective of the level of service customers should receive. I hope this feedback can be taken on board and addressed appropriately.

I am extremely disappointed with the customer service I have received from Wickes.

I placed my order on 30 June, but two tins of paint were missing from the delivery, leaving me unable to finish decorating my bedroom. From that point onwards, I had to repeatedly chase for updates, as I received very little proactive communication.

Initially, I was told Wickes was waiting for the courier to investigate. After several days of chasing, I was then informed that the missing paint had actually been returned to the Wickes warehouse. I was never contacted to tell me this and only found out because I kept asking for updates.

I was asked to provide dates when I would be available to receive a replacement, which I did immediately. Despite replying straight away, I received no confirmation of a delivery date. I then submitted a formal complaint, but as of today (Friday), I have still not received any response to either my email or my complaint.

Delays can happen, and I appreciate that couriers sometimes make mistakes. My frustration is not simply about the missing paint, but about the poor communication and the fact that I have had to do all the chasing myself. At every stage I was left waiting for information instead of being kept informed.

Unfortunately, this experience has left me with a half-finished decorating project and very little confidence in Wickes' customer service. I hope someone now takes ownership of resolving this properly.

Car park is on a slope and people will…

Car park is on a slope and people will hit your car with out of control trolleys. Staff inside the store can’t do anything about it and neither will Wickes Customer Services.

Measured out kitchen wrong in 2…

Measured out kitchen wrong in 2 different places now I'm left with a cubbord I can't open properly and a boiler cubbord that has to be taken apart every year to service the boiler.
Customer service was awful took 6 months to have anything sorted and the absolutely best they could offer was 50% off the affected units. They clearly didn't care and just wanted to palm us off with a low ball offer not even caring that we now have a brand new kitchen with units we cant use. What is the point is using there measuring service is they are not making themself accountable when they measure wrong.

Exceptional customer service from Rachel

A big thanks to Rachel for kindly loading several bags of sand into my car during two visits to Wickes in Shipley. Due unable to lift heavy weights post surgery I’m indebted to Rachel for providing such generous assistance.

Had a great visit today which just made…

Had a great visit today which just made me smile. Laura on the checkout asked what I was up to when she saw the new paint rollers I had. I explained my decorating project and she offered a great little life hack which uses Pringle tubes to store paint rollers overnight without having to wash them out. It really works!! Laura was so pleasant and engaging that it really made a difference. Well done to her 😊

Great experience in Wickes Thetford

We went to wickes Thetford to have a “chat” about a possible new kitchen , we hung around as they were very busy and could overhear discussions one employee was having , we decided there and then that David Bowden was the designer that we wanted to use.
He seemed knowledgable and caring . He visited us the next day for a consultation and then probably for the next 2 weeks we were backward and forwards fine tuning our needs and wants, he listened to our ideas , told us what would work and what wouldn’t , Cancelling some appliances and changing others , even giving us a refund once order was placed and we had changed our mind, he made sure we were happy with everything .
Nothing was ever too much trouble , he always made himself available and advised great ideas and never tried to “sell” us anything we never wanted . He gave us good honest advice and handled our 1 damaged door quickly and efficiently .
My husband was fitting the kitchen and
David advised best ways to get around possible problems eg: using fillers in gaps and best places to put dishwasher/washing machine etc .
In the past, David has fitted kitchens and his knowledge shone through and made our new kitchen refurbishment go smoothly .
The kitchen is from the Sophia range and the quality is very good, it looks amazing .
All in all what a great experience , made easier with the help of David ,
Thank you David for all the advice and time you gave to us .

I use wickes dundee regularly as a tradesman have done for years all the staff are great but the one that stands out to me most is Janet she is always really helpful and always chatty and happy in her work great member of staff
