Horrible company

Horrible company! I wish I could leave a minus ten rating. Ordered an adult size blouse that arrived and would fit a child. Needed to return it. I received a refund from this company, but return shipment costs were not refunded. Rude emails and no refund for postage on something that was their problem because their sizes are misrepresented. Buyer beware! Stay away and save your money. They will probably comeback with excuses for their rude behavior and lies.

The wrong item was sent

The wrong item was sent. I chatted with someone ( no name given) and was left for 17 minutes without a reply. I asked twice if anyone was there. I gave up and said that was rude. They got back on and never apologized for not responding and told me if I didn't stop the "nonsense " they would end the chat. This told me everything I needed to know about this company. After this review they canceled my order. They still won't acknowledge the rude unprofessional customer service! Now days later they are refusing my refund stating that they never told me that I would be receiving one. I have the email stating my refund. These people are so rude!! I am going further and reporting them. No one deserves this treatment. They should know better

Hello Tammy. When we talked yesterday we acknowledged shipment of the wrong item. You ordered a full zip, we shipped a 1/4 zip. We agreed to ship the correct item and leave you with the 1/4 zip jacket at no charge. Great men’s shirts … super quality!

I just made my 3rd order from this company. Their men’s shirts are made of good quality fabric and the buttons even match the fabric color. My husband loves how comfortable they are and I love how nice they look straight out of the dryer. I’m very satisfied with these products.

SCAM! BEWARE!

Garbage - the material was flimsy, the zippers cheaply made and the size was MAYBE a CHILDS MEDIUM, not an ADULTS 3XL. The shipping was very slow (it takes weeks to receive your items, instead of the days that is standard everywhere else.) Trying to get a refund is a joke, you are required to pay the return shipping (even when the error is the company's fault) and then they ignore the refund until you contact them multiple times and pester them to refund your money. After all that, they will only return part of your money, claiming there is a "restocking fee" for their garbage clothing (in other words, they are reselling clothes to new customers that someone else has returned as being incorrect or defective.) I do not and cannot recommend this company or their clothing at all. Avoid at all costs. (Note that I purchased these shirts Jan 30, and it was March 7 before the refund was refused)

UPDATE: The response by the vendor given below is the same canned response they've been giving everyone who complains about the glaring fallacies this company willingly engages in. Bottom line, the many reviews by hundreds of different people, all stating the same thing over and over, speak most accurately of the nature of this company. They're more concerned with gaslighting their customers than doing right by them. A very silly and antiquated way of " doing business" in my opinion.

UPDATE #2: Despite the story Big Top Shirts has harassed me to tell, do not believe their claims about "measurements". I KNOW the difference between a Medium sized shirt and a 3XL, and what they sent was absolutely NOT 53 inches across, even if you stretched it out. I stand by my statement, this is a dishonest company that is using shady business practices. Caveat Emptor.

UPDATE #3: So this company is still harassing me because they are big mad that someone pointed out their business practice flaws. What they REALLY should do is spend that energy fixing the problems, such as starting with being more honest about their product, and perhaps find an accurate ruler. Any company that chooses to start a flame war with a customer rather than listening to that customer's complaints, non-stop harrasing their customers, calling them liars and refusing to make good on their misrepresented products pretty much tells you everythingyou need to know about them. Now I COULD sit here all day arguing with them and responding to their patently childish insults, because again, they're big mad that I've (like MANY) other people reported that there are problems with this company AND their product, but I think anyone reading their responses can see for themselves that this is not a company to do business with. Like I've already said to you Big Top Shirt Shop, you can keep the $20 you gouged me for, I don't care about it. But I DO care about dealing with an honest company that takes care of their customers and respects them. By all means, continue behaving in this many and these reviews you're garnering won't matter any longer, because you won't be in business for very long.

The 3XL shirts you ordered are have a chest measurement of 53" and length of 30". The same style youth shirt in medium has a 34" chest measurement and a 23" length. That makes the women's 3XL 19" larger around and 7" longer in length. Pretty big difference.

With regard to shipping times, your order was delivered 7 business days after purchase. Ordered 1/30 - delivered 2/8. Not weeks as you claim.

Regarding your refund, you emailed us one time regarding the status of your refund, on the evening of 3/5. You were refunded the following morning at 7:53am.

We never sell "garbage", seconds or returns that are "incorrect or defective". Your assertions are not only false, but also defamatory and libelous. Posting things which are exaggerated, false and made up entirely is a pitiful way to further your actaul issue, which is that the 3XL shirts you ordered didn’t fit the way you prefer.

Every brand and every style will have different measurements. It's not uncommon for styles to have measurements that differ from other styles. This is what makes clothing and fit unique from garment to garment. Checking measurements before purchase will insure you select the size that best meets your needs. Additionally, we encourage those who are unsure - or who are purchasing for the first time - to order one and check for size. That rather than ordering many - all in the same size - only to find out you don't prefer the fit and have to return them all. While unfortunate the shirt did not fit you and your body type, not every shirt will fit the way you may prefer. We have all been in a store and tried on clothing that's not a good match. For that we offer a return policy which is available to all customers before purchase, a policy which was followed with the refund of your purchase. All the best to you Amy.

I ordered a size 2X women's shirt that could fit a 5-year-old it is so small. Non returnable because it's a thirteen dollars shirt and would cost more to return. This company is a scam.

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. I ordered five shirts. They sent me three of the five that I ordered. When I received the shirts they had a receipt saying two shirts was on back order but yet they still charge me for those two shirts. They never did get back with me on the back order or emailing me about the back order. I had to fight them through my credit card company to get my money back. I would never order from them again I recommend them to anyone..

We were talking with you on live chat and explained we can either ship another color OR refund you for the two unshipped items. You chose to end the live chat entirely without a reply. We replied to another email later in the day with a copy of the chat transcript. A transcript of our live chat session is listed below.

I ordered a jacket in a size that I normally order from the manufacturer. It was too small and they refused to exchange it. The original listing says closeout but does not say no exchanges. You have the item in stock and could easily exchange it.

We received all 4 of your emails from the weekend of 8/26 & 8/27. When we returned on Monday 8/28 we replied and directed you to the track order button in shipment confirmation email you were replying to. You can check the status of your order anytime with the email we provided you when your order shipped. Sorry to hear about your bad experience with other retailers - and glad you found us to get you what you need. P.S. According to the USPS website, your package is being held for pickup because there was no secure location available at your residence when delivery was attempted.

horrible customer service

Very rude and horrible customer service. Be sure to clearly read the return policy because specific orders do not qualify for returns. To view the return policy you click out of your cart on the menu and find the return policy. Will not accommodate or reason at all. People don’t read every bit of fine print and most companies will reason with you and be understanding but not this company.

Ordered a 3XL polo to check sizing

Ordered a 3XL polo to check sizing, fit, material, etc. with the intent to order more. Shirt arrive & looked and felt as promised. The 3XL was more like medium. Had to pay($12) yo return. After reading additional reviews on sizing will not be ordering from them. And having to pay yo return??? NOPE!

Sent the wrong shirt

Sent the wrong shirt. I ordered one with a pocket (the receipt said that's what it was.) What they sent had none. Twice requested I send a picture, which was pointless as I was going to return it no matter what. It also cost me 11.54 to return it.

They never actually apologized.

Mr. Leonard purchased and was delivered Jerzees brand 50/50 cotton/polyester moisture wicking shirts. When he got them he said they are not "Dri-Fit". Customer is correct, they are not Dri-Fit, nor are they advertised to be. Dri-Fit is a Nike trademarked technology. ONLY Nike shirts can be advertised as "Dri-Fit". Hope you Fail " at which time we discontinued communication with Mr. Leonard.

Horrible customer service…

Bought a couple hi vis t shirts for work. After wearing a shirt 3 or 4 times, the stitching in the arm pit cam unraveled and a large hole formed. I contacted customer service to see what could be done. The answer I got was 'too bad'. They will only accept a return it the item was damaged when I received it and not any time after that. Horrible customer service and cheap products.

Hello Aric. As detailed in our previous email communication, we guarantee that every item is in perfect condition upon delivery. If not, we will replace the garment, no questions asked. Items can become damaged through normal wear and washing. There is no warranty or replacement from any of the manufacturers we carry - to include Nike, Under Armour, Columbia and more - for items which are damaged or become damaged after being washed and/or worn.

PoorDishonest Service

I ordered two fleece jackets, paying for cost plus shipping. They arrived about two weeks later. I was disappointed with the quality— sleeves were too long
and zippers didn’t work smoothly. Quality was inferior to others offered by Amazon and Bean. Expressed my concerns to Big Tops Support Staff, returned the jackets by UPS, & requested refund. The company strung me along by asking for tracking data which I provided with Proof of Delivery.They still haven’t refunded my money! Would never deal with them again! Disappointed

I ordered a shirt from your company. Wrong color and wrong size. I returned it to your company on 5-2-23 with copy of original invoice, orginal order number and asked for refund. Nothing! They stated I needed to get the tracking number from post office. I do not have it anymore!

I will never do business with this company again. Very rude and not helpful at all. I will also tell anybody who asks that they should be very careful as your company is not at helpful and very, very rude!

Bought Lesson

I purchased 3 women's XL long sleeved button down shirts, I like a loose fit. The fit was M at best, the shirts are nice but the sizes are clearly inaccurate. I contacted BigtopShirts and was instructed to pay to ship them back and the order would reprocessed. I did and since they ran really small, I requested 4X instead, these fit like tents. TO CUT MY LOSES, I HAD THEM TAILORED. I wish I'd read the reviews first. My review is not the first to mention incorrect size markings. My XL'S from other merchants are the desired fit.
Since the shirts fit was 4 sizes smaller, I requested the replacements 4 sizes larger.
MY ADVICE TO BIGTOPSHIRTS is to not blame the consumer but fix the problem. To put it nicely, random people wouldn't make the same claim at different times.

The Big Top Shirt Shop is HORRIBLE!!!…

The Big Top Shirt Shop is a complete ripoff. I ordered over $100 of shirts size L. When they arrived they were all XXL even though they were labeled L. I usually wear a size L and on occasion even size XL. However these shirts were so enormous that I was lost in them. When I tried to exchange them for size M, I was told that they could not exchange the shirts.
Stay away from Big Top Shirt Shop. They are dishonest and sell junk.

This is my rebuttal to the response of Big Top Shirt Shop.

First of all, there is a reason why 77% of the reviews of Big Top Shirt Shop on this site are just one (1) star reviews. In Big Top's Response, my email to them was taken completely out of context and totally misrepresented my email to them. The real story is that they sold mislabeled shirts that, although labeled size L, were clearly XXL. I contacted them just several weeks after receiving said shirts and explained that I had just returned home from a trip. I did not even request a refund and clearly stated that I merely wanted to exchange them for a smaller size that would fit me. Their response to me was to rudely refuse an exchange and to state that their shirts were the correct size. Worse yet, they then proceeded to call me a liar with respect to shirt sizing!!! The personnel at Big Top Shirt Shop are clearly clearly dishonest selling faulty or reject products. They are arrogant and rude and do not back their products.
I could not let their dishonest rebuttal go unanswered. To reiterate, there is a reason why 77% of Big Top Shirt Shop reviews on this site are just one (1) star.

Mr Edwards ordered 5 polo shirts, all size large.  Mr. Edward acknowledged receiving the shirts he ordered - delivered just a few days after purchase.  The shirts were eligible for return for any reason as detailed on the packing slip included with the shipment and as detailed in our published return policy.  Mr. Edwards emailed us one month after his eligibility to return his order had expired.  He acknowledged having read the return policy and acknowledged that his order was no longer eligible for return.  He then asked to return the old/ineligible order. 

When unable to accomodate his request Michael replied as follows:
"Since you have chosen so unethical a course, you have earned yourselves as many rotten reviews as I can muster. Hopefully, as a result, you will lose far more money in terms of you sales as I have lost dealing with the unethical likes of you."

Below is our reply to Michael:
"We understand you want something more than what we offer/advertise.  We also understand that not getting more than what you are entitled to equals a negative review from Michael Edwards.  To hope a business loses revenue, and to put such nonsense in writing - because you didn't get an extra month to return your order, is just pitiful.  The reality is that you received exactly what you ordered and failed to return any unwanted items within the allowable time frame."

UPATE: The argument that 5 shirts, in 4 colors, all manufactured at different times and ALL having incorrect size tags is absurd. The shirts were not mislabeled, they simply did not fit as the customer would prefer. IF an item arrives damaged/defective it will be replaced at our expense regardless of how long a customer has had their purchase.

As an aside, had Mr Edwards replied with something other than "you have earned yourselves as many rotten reviews as I can muster" he may have garnered a more understanding and/or accommodating response. That sort of behavior is unacceptable and will not be tolerated, let alone rewarded.

Charged 20% restocking fee for an order…

Charged 20% restocking fee for an order that I was not aware of I needed an embroidered and at 13 shirts minimum. Those fine prints are very hard to read.

The shirt style/brand you wanted to order is available only with embroidery. It is not available without embroidery under any circumstances. This policy was shown to you and you agreed to this policy before the item could be added to your cart. In fact, you placed two orders - minutes apart - and agreed to this policy both times.

In a previous email you stated you didn't understand the policy. In this review you state the text was too small to read. All devices allow you to zoom on text which may be difficult to read, however the font size showing this policy is the same size as the product description, making zoom unnecessary. Since you agreed to the policy it can only be assumed that you read and understood the policy.

Terrible service

Terrible service. I ordered an item and immediately realized after I placed the order that it was headed to the wrong address. I sent an email right after the order was placed to let them know the address was wrong and gave them my correct address. They still sent the item to the wrong address after yanking me around with the order because I emailed them the order number from a different address. Meanwhile they still sent out the order to the wrong address and refuse to send me a new item or refund it. I did not receive the item. Will never order from them again. Scammers

We did receive your order on 12/22. It was shipped to the Louisiana address you provided us at checkout. Delivered on 12/29.

We also received an email on 12/22 from someone asking to update an order. The was no order number provided and the email address the email came from also matched no order in our system. We replied asking for more information. Unfortunately by the time we received more information from you (the correct email address and order number) your order had already left with the carrier.

Sad to hear you feel we are a scam when in reality we immediately shipped the items you ordered, to the address you provided, and provided you with tracking information which verified delivery.

Poor customer service and return policy. Sizes are off!

Purchased in November for a Christmas present. He tried it on, and although he is usually a 2XL, this was way too tight. 2XL is always plenty big enough. But this jacket was way too small. Sizing is way off. Then, when I tried to ask about flexibility in returning it, given that it was bought for and not opened until Christmas, they told me it was too late; no returns. It wasn't even personalized, so not a special order either. Really poor customer experience; I would NOT recommend. Wish I'd read the reviews first.

Hello Janet. Returns are welcome for any reason within 14 days of delivery. As a corporate apparel retailer we believe this two week inspection period is sufficient for both corporate and at-home consumers to determine if the garments ordered meet your needs. Unfortunately your order from 11/13/22 is no longer eligible for return on 1/2/23, more than 45 days after purchase. We always encourage customers to review the return policy of any business, before making a purchase, to make sure the return policy meets their needs. This to avoid circumstances where policies do not meet your specific needs.
