The process works well for most people but completely failed for someone with learning difficulties.
I took my brother for cataract surgery.
We wasted several hours going through the initial consultation and then the pre op preparation only to be told the procedure could not be done.
This could and should have been established from the start. It is very much a conveyor belt of patients which only works if everything is straightforward.

Excellent service. Kind and considerate. Smiles on peoples faces. The operations were quick and professional. No problems with recommending them. They are good.

I want to say a massive thank you to Optegra (Sheffield) for how amazing they were from start to finish with my laser eye surgery (SMILE). From the initial consultation right through to the aftercare, the entire journey has been nothing short of incredible.

A special shoutout to Caroline on reception, who couldn't have been more helpful and kindly guided me through the payment process, and to Patrick, the optician, who is incredibly knowledgeable! Honestly, all the staff couldn't do enough to help!

The care on the actual day of the surgery (at the Bradford clinic) was exceptional. They completely put me at ease and explained everything so clearly. The video from the surgeon was a fantastic touch- it really reassured me and made sure I knew exactly what to expect.

The results speak for themselves. I had a prescription of -5.75, and now my eyesight is actually better than 20/20! I am completely glasses-free and couldn't be happier.

I wouldn't think twice about recommending Optegra, especially the wonderful team at Sheffield (and Bradford). Just to be clear, this is not a paid or bribed ad - just a very happy customer who can vouch for them first-hand!

Very fast friendly and professional service

Had my consultation appointment changed 4 times. Then another appointment came through. On speaking to them my appointment was cancelled and nobody thought to let me know

The doctors and nurses are lovely and engaging, however they are let down by the reception team who were unfriendly and uncommunicative. My first appointment was about 45 minutes late and this was communicated to me. Very poor client journey experience on this visit as well as subsequent visits.

Feeling at ease with the wonderful staff. They talked you through every step of the procedure. Big bonus was I did not have to use continual drops after the op, one injection and that covered all the drops.

Second cataract eye operation went well. First time I had injection and did not feel anything. This time I had drops. Staff and doctors made you feel comfortable and not nervous.

I wasn’t given the post/op assessment even though I asked Optegra 3 times.

I felt very relaxed.The properative routine and eyedrop regime was very professional .The booklet we were given to read was helpful.I felt well prepared and in safe hands.The procedure was quick and pain free.Everyone was friendly and supportive.My short sight was corrected too and I am very pleased with the results.I just need reading glasses now.
