2 failed appointments for boiler service
Was even asked to take annual leave to meet an appointment date they wanted.
Was quoted this is important to get this boiler serviced yet they fail to attend twice.

These inept shysters should have their licence revoked! I've been without heating, hot water, or cooking facilities for FIVE days, after these idiots firstly sent a fella AFTER 6pm when I'd made it clear I'd be out after that; then sent someone incapable of fixing the gas leak, the next day, after me waiting in all day, and then, to top it, I was told that they'd definitely ring me today, to organise the repair....f... all! No attendance, no phone calls, nothing. I've now written emails to Onward housing (who are equally crap, by the way) gone on WhatsApp for three hours, and made eight phone calls, and I'm STILL without said facilities. No wonder these fools have lost the contract with Onward. I hope they and their inept 'team' go bust and end up skint! Dreadful.

I have endured so much with this company over the years.
Incompetence, rudeness,time wasting and lack of care.
I have been trying to get my boiler repaired since December last year.
At least seven technicians have been to fix an issue with ignition.
The boiler does reset after an error code but turns off after 8 minutes.
Not one engineer would wait to see if it went off after they had done what I could do myself. PRESS A BUTTON...
I have been without heat and water all this time.Having to stay with relatives to avoid hypothermia as I have respitory illness and Im classed as vulnerable
Customer services are the absolute worst I have ever encountered.
On top of this they have not turned up twice for the gas service appointment they instigated.and then claimed no access on both occasions I never left the house all day.
This company's service and attitude needs addressing and I am contacting ofgem regarding their behaviour and the fact they blatantly ignore legislation regarding heat and water.avsilability.

Terrible service from PH Jones. They booked an appointment and didn’t turn up or even notify me. After I chased them, they rebooked for the following week (8–12) but arrived at 1pm. They changed the radiator, but after they left, two radiators stopped working. I was promised another visit the next day between 12–5 and again, nobody showed up. Very unreliable company. Would not recommend.

There wasn't a ref in the text, said I had to telephone, why should I be expected to use my phone money.

Clarity for the customer.
Today I had a visit from a gas engineer from PH Jones to carry out the annual service. As he came in the front door, I pointed out that the meter was to his right. He dutifully carried out a manometer test. As he stood, I informed him that the combi boiler was upstairs on the landing. However, he swept past me and into the kitchen. He then unplugged the toaster and did a electrical circuit test ? I asked him why ( as this was the first time for this). He said " I have to check the voltage"!
He went upstairs and took off the boiler casing then came downstairs to ask " where is the isolator" ? I had to ask him to repeat this 4 times due to his heavy African accent. He informed me that the boiler needs an isolator near the boiler. This has never been an issue in the 26 years I've been here. As it turns out I now have to have another day off work to accommodate this to be fitted. The sheer arrogance of this guy on his mission of very obviously " job building" and treating me in my own home like an inconvenience. I later phoned their office for advice about the need for this switch only to wait 25 minutes to be answered. It transpires that it needs to be done asap because the dwelling is " non compliant " ! This is the first visit by this company and hopefully when Wigan council see all the negative comments that are on trust pilot they will put the tender out for a reputable company to carry out GAS safety servicing and not a " fill your boots"opportunistic shambles like PH Jones. Btw, still waiting for the call back/ voicemail from 11am this morning. COWBOYS.

Ph Jones today a worker came to my home he was actually very good and very pleasant he's ordered a new radiator for my bedroom a put a new thermostatic valve on living room radiator It not his fault but I'm getting zero heat in living room at all where I was getting to much before and the morons running the office think it's ok to make the customer suffer the cold until tomorrow when it's convenient to them and Midlands heart housing association has no problem with disgusting service temperature 4 c without heating my home is like a freezer congratulations pH Jones

Booked an appointment for a 12:00–18:00 slot. Six hours went by… no show, no call, no message, nothing.
I took unpaid leave to be available, and they couldn’t even provide basic communication or courtesy. Completely unprofessional and a total waste of my time.
Now they expect me to rebook and lose another six hours? Absolutely not.
Steer well clear of this firm — they clearly don’t value customers’ time or commitments.

First issue, they arranged an engineer to visit my home on a day I was working. When contacting on them the same say, they rearranged it to a day I could book of work, no problem however I received a threatening letter in the post regarding a missed appointment that was never arranged in the first place.
Second issue, on the day of the appointment, I waited in all day for the engineer to arrive however there was no knock at the door or ring on the buzzer for our apartment. On contacting them they advised the engineer arrived at 1:30pm and our phone would “not connect”. This is completely untrue, as mentioned above, no ring on our buzzer or knock on the door and no missed calls.
They are now advising of a potential charge if a future appointment is missed. This will absolutely not be paid as the booking arrangements and lack of completion is completely their fault.
Absolutely horrible company to deal…
Absolutely horrible company to deal with. No communication at all, you booking day off for gas engineer and they not turning up for appointments - no explanations, no any comms at all. Simple things to sort out taking ages after multiple phone calls to them. They quietly changing appointments without any contact with customers. In the morning you getting reminder about appointment tomorrow and few hours later another reminder with different date. What a mess!! People in call centre have a no clue what they doing. And they working on behalf of big housing company in Leeds for example. I would give minus 100 stars. Avoid this company as plague!!!
Very incompetent unprofessional
called them out on Sunday 14th December 2025 . They sent the first plumber as the boiler had a E1 error. He said it needed a new heat exchanger fitted ordered one and told me it would be Wednesday the 17th Dec for the fitting of the new part and restored my boiler and removed the E1 error he was here around 10 minutes .Monday the 15th December the boiler had been making noises throughout Sunday these noises continued throughout Monday. Around 5 pm we returned home to see the living room ceiling damp as water had come through the ceiling down the wall and also in the hallway. Upon checking the boiler the towels and bedding stored in there were completely drenched with the water we then called P.H Jones again to then receive a second visit from a bearded plumber who told me the first plumber should of drained it down saying this was inevitable. He then said the initial repair job would take around a hour to fit as its a doddle of a job and hopefully he would be the one too fit it on the 17th Dec. He then left me a fan heater and said he had three more visits that Monday evening he left at 6pm . So no hot water heating until the 17th Dec!!! . Tuesday the 16 Dec i rang p.h. Jones number to initially report the situation with their pathetic incompetence and damage caused just before Christmas too . The time was 10am Tuesday morning she took my frustration and I wanted to know if it could be done Tuesday as the Monday plumber told me the parts supplier p.h.jones use is better that amazon delvery network with on average a 6 hour turnaround with parts . The receptionist told me she would look into my complaint and ring me back in half an hour . The call never occurred just left bemused and shocked at the dire lack of customer care and professionalism that was clearly lacking . Another day with a messed up living room hallway no heating hot water . Wednesday the 17th December I had lost hope to be fair my living room looks terrible hallway also with signs of water damage just really damm annoyed. I then get a call around 10.38 am from another plumber who was here to replace the heat exchanger so all good it seems!!!! . He apparently had had a puncture and was running late then normally would not do this actual job as he works for himself and would just replace the whole boiler and added this job would cost me around 800 pounds but luckily im in a council property. He then did nothing but moan complain for over two hours told me to not smoke in my own home as he hated it which I was shocked to say the least !! Then asked me had I any ladders as his were too big and involved another trip to his van . At this point I could not believe his attitude and luckily i had a two step ladder which I had to get from my garden shed and bring it upstairs to him . The way he was handling the boiler I thought he was going to rip it out as he could not tighten a nut as the washer kept coming out repeatedly saying he had not done one of these for a long time . The moaning increased and he then asked me to hold his light save him going to his van for his headlamp and to keep it on the area he was trying to work on so I was watching and keept the area lit up . This went on for 20 minutes then he was pulling another copper pipes were being pulled out around the heat exchanger this went on for a good hour . Then this other guy came to check the gas meter and kitchen thermostat he then watched this plumber he was here for around a hour in which time he ordered more parts around dinnertime or just after . I was then asked to bring a mop bucket up as more water was below the boiler which I had placed a large plastic square box but the water had missed it so I gave the plumber some towels . The second guy then told me he was going to speak to the manager as three call outs was not great . Then the first plumber seemed to state he only worked a three day week and clearly didn't want to return either Thursday the 18th or Friday the 19th which would of be the fourth visit .It seems like the way he initially handled the boiler may have caused the leak to continue after fitting the new heat exchanger ive had boiler repairs over the years but never ever had to be assisting with ladders and holding lamps because they were fed up running behind having a bad day His words in my 17 years of living here!!! . The date is now the 18th December 2025 12.14pm still no contact from p.h Jones as the parts were ordered 24 hours earlier on the 17th Dec. I was told by the second plumber who stated they get the parts same day around six hours .. This company are clearly not fit to do any work on behalf of the council .IT is a pity I cannot give zero star rating this is a absolute disrespectful unprofessional
Update 18th December Samuel informs me one new part is faulty and fits the new parts then says there is still a leak a washer is missing previous plumber has not put back on and needs to order a new one still not fixed this is ridiculous
Missed appointment
PH Jones behalf Midlands Heart. I got annual check my boiler but went missed appointment in morning 8:40am 10th Dec 2025 he went straight to post missed card without doorbell to vibration & flash lights, I was asleep in morning didn't feel vibration wake up because he didn't pressed doorbell could knock on door but I'm deaf can't hear knock door. I got letter & missed card bloody call number no email & no text message not good for deaf people.
What a lazy company missed card post with no new appointment date & didn't tick on box for new appointment. Next time I will setup CCTV easily caught.
Annual check boiler they many brown worker not seen any white worker, likely unqualified immigrant come from illegal migrants how getting jobs
PHJONES (AYR) ENGINEERING EXCELLENCE!
Engineer from PHJones (Ayr) Scott was brilliant! we had a prblem with our heating boiler and he fixed it pronto. explaining what went wrong and why it went wrong and remedied the problem by charging the expansion vessel which was losing water and pressure. Scott also checked our radiators were working properly as well as explaining why one was heating more than the other. he also replaced the front panel which was broken before the incident.
Scott was the perfect gentleman what a man!

Terrible company. Aggressive call handler that should not be dealing with the public. It’s frightening this company do not know what they are doing. Any excuse to get out of completing a job.

At this moment in time 1 start is too high. Poor communications, not returning calls, when promised, told engineers will come and then don't turn up. Eventually engineers do turn up x 2 x 2 different days and do the same task, check, order parts and then don't turn up to fit as promised. 9 days now without heating or hot water and now they say they cant give us a date when we are coming to fix a very common issue.
