One star is way to much for this absolutely shambolic company. Demand that we be in so they can do there part, 2 appointments (so called classed as urgent) due to having young children, 2 days booked... Voir plus

would not use these if i was forced

rude obnoxious workers .they sent an auditor round to my home before electrician done his work even though the auditor was there to audit electricians work . auditor went through rooms including bedroom without permission filming not photographing. He than barged into room i told him i have a poorly wife and dog he didn't listen. When the electrician finally arrived he went straight to electric box and turned of the power without asking if i had anything important that i need to shut down .at the time i was doing online banking luckily it didn't transact also messed up my security system and when i said can you please just do what you need to do and go as they upset my vulnerable wife as they left one called me a retard.avoid this company if you can ,i cant they have another appointment to come t mine next week i will be having cameras on them every second they cross the threshold of my front door .i do not trust this company or anyone who works for them especially after reading some reviews here.my local council needs to re think this dodgy company's contract with them

Bullshitters and incompetent company

My housing association had a contract with these…. No hot water so called out emergency last Wednesday, came Friday fitted part but found something else, said Monday no show, then arranged today 12-5 rang me at 3pm to cancel job…. Took time off work losing money…. Bullshitters and shit company … now waiting for manager to ring me…. Thanks phjones… totally useless!!!

AWFUL

Booked in for a service, given a time slot of 12-5pm. No one turned up so i called and was told he went home sick and no one bothered to tell me. My hot water stopped working so had an emergency call out, didn’t turn up friday even though i have a baby and a toddler. turned up saturday and said he can’t fix it as he didn’t have the part so they would contact me.. monday came so i rang to ask what was going on and they booked me in for the wednesday. i rang wednesday and asked if he would definitely be turning up to fix the boiler was told he would between 12-5pm. 4:50pm… no one here and no contact, rang and told he’s not coming today!!!! absolute joke of a company!!

My boiler has been going into reset…

My boiler has been going into reset mode on an almost daily basis for weeks now. The people on the phone are very good. The same person (I refuse to call him an engineer) visited twice in the same week and refused to believe there was an issue, as the boiler worked for him only to breakdown again later the same day. On the second visit again he refused to check the boiler over despite video evidence of it breaking down several times. I'm not sure if they are a cowboy outfit as two had visited weeks before and replaced a pump. As I am writing this now I have no heating or hot water and I really have no idea if anything is going to be done about it.

PH Jones

its now been nearly 1 and a half months since ph jones broke my gas boiler and left me with no heating or hot water through sending an unqualified immigrant to service it. they was ment to send someone out 2 days after it got broken by said unqualified immigrant no one turned up the i got a letter saying someone was coming to fix the boiler on the 16th of november no one turned up so i now am looking for a lawyer to take them to court. do not let ph jones into your house to service your boiler they will break it.

Totally ruined my holiday !!!

Totally ruined my holiday !!!! After coming out to fix a broken boiler nearly 2 weeks ago to find out I needed a new one, the engineer booked a date to replace it there and then. Luckily I had a 2 week holiday booked as replacement had a 2 week lead time. Phone today ( while on holiday) to check date still live, was told yes. Then a couple of hrs later got a call to say oops, no survey done. Now can't do survey til 2 days before date to replace?? As pensioners in poor health and in warden controlled accommodation with no heating and hot water already going home to freezing temperatures, it looks like we have to fight a customer service issue as the issue regarding a survey could have been picked up last week. Giving PH Jones enough time to raise a po number, order the parts and get them delivered in time for installation. Looks like a call to the press is going to be necessary.

Engineer failed to attend a gas…

Engineer failed to attend a gas service, I had re-booked for a afternoon appointment, I was informed a engineer would attend from 1 till 6 pm today , I prepared the work area for this by moving shelving from the boiler cupboard and taking all bedding and towels away leaving my flat cluttered by this , not only did he not attend but not even a phone call or text to say not coming.

PH jones work on behalf of Wiltshire…

PH jones work on behalf of Wiltshire Council. This company is a shambles. This company is ment to provide yearly servicing in boilers for my air source heat pump and are ment to repair them also. This company for my last service didn't have anyone qualified employed to service an air source heat pump. So because of this I received threatening letters from Wiltshire council to say my ASHP needed a service and because it wasn't done I was in breach of my tenancy agreement. PH Jones also makes appointments but don't turn up and don't contact you or today's appointment between 8am and 5pm I get a phone call at 12 to say that have to reschedule because the engineer that is coming won't be able to fix the fault and needs the lead engineer to attend. I had moved everything around to be here for this appointment and then they say they can't attend until the following day. Very unprofessional! Stay clear of this company don't e waste your time!!!!

Infinity incompetent

In the 7 years I've lived in this property and had the misfortune of PHJones being my maintainance company through the council, I have only met one engineer who is actually any good. The rest of them are useless, half doing a job so they can get their day finished early, but actually the issue returns within days if not hours. I have in recent years had an engineer park his van up the road, and push a card through my door saying I didn't answer, when I looked on cctv he hadn't even knocked! I rang them as this meant I was left with no hot water or heating in the middle of winter on a friday afternoon, so I rang and explained and they were not interested that their employee hadn't even attempted to do the job, refused to send him back and simply made another appointment, with no apology or explanation. They have no respect for council tenants and think we have all the time in the world to wait around for them to then not complete the job.
Last week I had 2 engineers sent to fix a leaky radiator, after fiddling with it briefly I was told "that should be okay now", well guess what.. it's leaking worse than it was before the muppet show came and messed with it.
In conclusion I can say with certainty that PHJones are the worst company I have ever had to deal with, and no matter how polite and personable the engineers are, they ruin that with their recurring incompetence and the company's overall inability to be professional, especially when dealing with vulnerable people.

Customer service is bad

Customer service is bad, wouldn't tell me a rough time of arrival, I said ok, but will it be before 5pm, and he said that it could be in night. My kids go to bed after 7pm, and I don't want a random person in their bedroom, because the boiler is located there .

Delighted with service and outcome

During a routine service by our local authority landlord, the engineers condemned our boiler and immediately disconnected it. As a result we had no heating or hot running water. After 4 weeks of calls and various visits it was agreed that, in order to hurry along the process, the work would be subbed out to PH Jones.

We were dubious about this as we'd never heard of the company and obviously checked the reviews but due to husbands disability we needed heating on due to change in weather.

We agreed on a date of 1st October for the work to be done.

Around 0730 engineers arrived and immediately checked over house and requirements (as only the survey of works had been done by Council and they were working to their instructions). After a couple more cupboards were emptied, the work began.

My housebound husband was in house all day and works were methodically done room by room. The two engineers were courteous, professional and kept him informed of their progress. They done all they could to minimise damage to laminate flooring (we had been advised initially that at least 25% of laminate would be lifted and not reinstated).

The works were completed by 6pm and all areas thoroughly tested and waste cleared/removed on departure.

24hours later we are enjoying having heating and hot running water after 5 long weeks without. As a result we highly recommend this company for any heating works.

Boiler Replacement

I recently had my boiler replaced by British Gas in Cardiff, and they sent Shaun Lee from PH Jones to do the job. He was absolutely brilliant! Despite some initial challenges caused by my previous boiler being installed incorrectly, Shaun handled everything with great care and attention to detail. He had to move pipes, drill, go under the floorboards, and even work up on the roof — but he tackled it all with professionalism and precision.

He worked long hours (until 6.30-7pm) over two days to make sure everything was sorted, leaving the place spotless, and ensuring we had heating and hot water before he left. I was especially impressed knowing he had to travel quite a distance from outside Swansea each day, yet his attitude was always positive and polite.

Shaun is a hardworking, trustworthy engineer, and I truly hope he goes far in his career — he definitely deserves it! Thank you!

Unprofessional

Went onto the website and done an online chat with someone named Diane i asked her to change the date of an appointment she took my details and was not responding for a while and i asked to let me know about any changes. She then left the chat which i was not happy about then had to go through everything again with another person whom actually got it sorted for me.

Absolutely disgraceful engineers with…

Absolutely disgraceful engineers with Ph jones. Every single one of them is rude, disrespectful, ignorant! They don't deserve not even 1 star. Pathetic company which employs people like this. They're obviously not attending training to improve customer care/service. Shame on you lot!
