two year fixed rate cash isa with RCI Bank
I have recently opened a 2 year fixed rate cash isa with RCI bank. The process was straightforward and everything was clearly explained in various documents received via email. When setting up my account the website did not like my initial password, which was rejected, but it accepted my revised password. I was able to deposit cash before the authentification code arrived via Royal Mail. The interest rate is better than many others on offer. I would recommend.

Thank you for your reply, but my notes are based on a real telephone call (made recently) in which I asked for assistance with a number of issues. The operative said that none of the help I required could be provided by her, and all actions had to be done 'online'. Sadly, the website functions do not allow for my requests to be resolved - - hence my comments that customer service doesn't exist! That has left me with only one option - - take my business elsewhere!
(Whilst telephone responses are quick, classic Customer Service doesn't exist because everything is online and nothing can be done to help you. However, interest rates are close to forefront levels, and the website works very well, so as long as you are aware of their 'online only' operation, all will be well).

Excellent Service & Rates
Have been using RCI Bank for several years and it is always easy to set up new accounts and move money around. Their fixed rate bond rates are always competitive, the maturity instructions are always dealt with correctly and they offer an increased rate for customers reinvesting their money into a new fix rated product.

Straightforward to open an account
I chose RCI bank for it’s good savings rates and that you can either use the website or the mobile banking app. The process to open an account was straightforward and easy to do and I liked that you can contact them if you have any queries 7 days a week. The website is easy to use and the verification letters arrived promptly.

I called on Thursday to check the process for maturing accounts, as this is going to be my first experience of a savings account maturing with RCI. My call was answered very quickly and I spoke to Kit.
He was both efficient and friendly and he answered all my questions. He also gave me valuable information regarding changing my address and authenticating my linked bank account and more importantly he advised me of the various timescales involved to help manage my understanding and my expectations, which I very much appreciated. Kit demonstrated great customer service and great listening skills. My RCI experience over the past 2 years has been - exceptional customer service, great products and competitive interest rates.
