Scammers need to be stopped

Like all the others I like to give a zero rating. We’ve been working on a loan since July 31, 2023 it’s now November and guess what no loan we’ve paid 800 for a home appraisal and numerous renovations that’s cost thousands. I’m guessing the upfront appraisal money is the scam they’re pulling on everyone and I’m sure most people won’t take the time to write a review about it and mark it up as a loss. I for one am sick and tired of being taken advantage of by such scum bags feeding off hard earned money. I’m not done I’ll be reporting them to the Federal Trade Commission as well. This needs to be stopped.

Terrible Company

This company is not good or friendly to Veterans or Small Bussines Owners. I am an honorably discharged Veteran. Have owned my own Bussines for 30 years. Have been profitable for the last 28 years and have a credit score of 800+. They have cost my wife and I our dream house. I should have gone to m local bank in the 1st place. They are very good and are taking good care of us

If I could I would give these people a negative review I would. This has been totally unacceptable from start to finish with these people. Justin Krainz started us out on a 5.25% interest rate. We went to buy a house and he gave us a 4.75% interest rate. We asked him to lock this figure in and Justin said he would do so. We called over to Justin when we were ready to purchase, and he was not able to be reached at any point after this. When we went to sign documentation on this house to our surprise this turned into a 6.75% interest rate. Never was it mentioned that we might have to buy down points on this interest rate at any point and not on any paper work. On top of this Megan Domel took over after it was informed that Justin dropped the ball on this to the highest degree possible. To make this situation right after a week into our contract, Megan returned to us stating that they would take us from 7.75% to 6.75% in the form of $6,000 in loan credits as if they were doing us a favor (second interest rate surprise of this entire ordeal). They then said that they locked in the interest rate at 7.75% 9 days later and without our permission and while we were on vacation. These people are nothing short of con artists. My realtor said he has never seen anything like this in his entire tenure as a realtor. Anything they send in response to this message should be taken as dishonest at best. My advice here is to turn and go to another lender.

Underhanded and Deceitful!

I used Tiffany McCall a loan officer for Mortgage Solutions in the past when one of my clients contacted me wanting to sell her house and purchase another. Since Tiffany was used on her first transaction I contacted her to have my client get prequalified for another home purchase. The next thing I know Tiffany gave my client to her boyfriend that is a real estate broker to sell her house and find her another house. I contacted her manager and they did NOTHING! They promised to provide a qualified buyer to me but they have NOT done so!

Buyer beware: use another lender

I applied for my mortgage March 13, found a house and put my offer in 4/4. Turned in all the necessary documents requested. Appraisal completed and above my purchase price. Inspection complete. Then they said they can’t accept my employment verification because it won’t go through their auto system. My work provided them with my contract, voe letter and my I-9, on top of my W2’s and 5 months of paystubs. I received my closing disclosures Friday 4/28. Set to close 5/5. They wanted until today 5/2 to tell me I’m denied. Why? I asked, because my employer doesn’t use the auto system to verify and they won’t accept the other documents. I tried for the last 2 weeks to make sure we were good to go. No response, no email, nothing until today. So when I received my disclosures I assumed we’re on track. Nope. Today he said “loans been denied” then hung up. I’m in the same industry, I know what’s ethical and what’s not. I saw on my closing disclosure that my appraisal charge was $1000. When I received the actual report, my charge was $650. Umm why? This is suppose to be a veteran company helping veterans. Disgraceful. They should be so ashamed of themselves. They wasted over a month of my time, my realtors time. Luckily, I was able to find a lender who miraculously has no issues with my employment verification using a VA loan. So, it’s not the loan process or VA l, it’s this company. Read other reviews, it’s been shady for awhile now.

Disappointing Experience with Mortgage and Finance Solution Provider

It is with great disappointment that I write this review of the mortgage and finance solution provider that I recently worked with. My experience with this company was nothing short of frustrating, as they made false promises and demonstrated zero communication skills throughout the entire process.

Despite their initial assurances, they failed to follow through on their commitments and left me hanging for weeks with no updates or progress reports. Their lack of transparency and accountability made me question their dedication to providing quality service and left me feeling incredibly frustrated.

Overall, my experience with this mortgage and finance solution provider was extremely disappointing. Their unprofessional conduct and disregard for customer satisfaction were unacceptable, and I would not recommend their services to anyone seeking reliable and effective financial solutions.

BEWARE! Lender credit promised then revoked!

I was in the middle of a refinance on an investment property with Mortgage solutions financial. They told me they would match the other lender competing for my business. I decided to pursue the refinance with them as I have used this particular lender/sales manager before. Mortgage Solutions ‘changed their mind’ and decided NOT to approve the lender credit that was promised to me!! I will NOT bring them my business or refer my clients to this company as I am a top producing real estate agent and real estate investor. This company can not be trusted.

Immaculate Solutions

My experience with this company was superb. They was very informative, walked me thru each process, and explained every detail of documents. Being a disabled veteran, also a first time home buyer professionalism, competence, and integrity is very important to me. I was able to close on my home in 30 days. This company/staff exemplified expertise and confidence that I would highly recommend any veteran to work with.
THANK YOU: Michael, Nicole, Brenda, and Beth

Destroying Families

Mortgage Solutions destroys families.Michael Martin and his team intensely promoted how his team can get a loan approved when he knows he can not. I was emailed by him stating my loan went to underwriting but another VP in the company from a different region stated he placed the loan on suspension. His team would tell me how hard they were working on it and the VP stated nobody ever opened the file. Communication is the worst I have ever seen in any industry. They refuse to return phone calls or emails. They sell your rate points without asking and then tell you that you need $18k to bring to closing. They will charge you $7k for extending your closing date even though it is their fault (3 extensions in my case). They have 7 (soon to be 9) lawsuits pending on them for good reason. April said they knew it wouldn't go through on day one but assured us it would be ause that is their policy. Their irresponsibility resulted in spending all of our $10k we had in savings, and my family of four was literally, on the street. This is what they do. This is who they are. Zero accountability = destroyed families.

Absolute nightmare

Working with this company was a complete, utter nightmare. How this company has an A rating with the BBB is a complete mystery. They turned a typical 30-day closing into a 90-day nightmare.

It began Nov 8 when we moved to Las Vegas expecting to sign that same week. We assumed all of our paperwork was in order and we were good to go. Nope. Due to the circumstances with the move out of our old place, we needed to stay in a hotel during that week which was an expense we planned for. Now, our offer was accepted Oct 12. So, Nov 8 was already the 4th week into escrow.

The week we arrived, we dealt with ridiculous issues claiming to be "red flags" and the first delay in signing. All of the so-called, "red flags" should have been dealt with weeks prior, but weren't. They even went so far as to ask why my husband wasn't doing payroll for the company he works for. He's the CFO, unless it's a tiny company, CFOs don't do payroll. All of this nonsense happened THE FIRST WEEK WE ARRIVED AND WERE SUPPOSED TO SIGN.

Our belongings were on the moving truck & the driver was ok with keeping it for us for a few days until we closed. (add'tl expense #1; $1,500)

Because they didn't have their ducks in a row, we had to extend our hotel reservations 4 add'tl days in the hopes we would sign the following week which is now mid-Nov; 5 weeks in.

That didn't happen. (Add'tl expense #2, $2,000)

The hotel was more expensive than we wanted to pay to continue to stay, so we found an AirBnb hoping we were going to sign the week after that; 6 weeks into escrow.

That didn't happen. (Add'tl expense #3, $450)

Again, they delayed closing claiming the VA was asking for additional information. 2 Weeks after our initial closing date? Nope, pure b.s.. We had to find a 2nd AirBnb hoping we would sign while staying there.

Again, didn't happen. (Add'tl expense #4, $1,200)

During the stay at this 2nd AirBnb, 6 weeks in, this company had the audacity to ask for 12 months of my husbands *employer's* bank statements. This was the last straw.

We had to endure so many things in the hopes that we would be able to close and move into our new house within a reasonable time frame. We started dealing with their b.s. even before we left San Diego. Such as:
*Incorrect information on the loan application for demographic info. They had my husband as white, not Hispanic/Latino. He is Black, Hispanic/Latino. The application said the info was gathered in an in-person interview, if that were the case, my husband wouldn't have been listed as white.
*All his nicknames were listed under my name.
*Wrong previous address info.
*We were asked to provide a marriage certificate when 3 prior lenders we'd dealt with never asked. So, that meant standing in line at the courthouse for nearly an hour after we'd dealt with food poisoning and severe fatigue the day before in order to obtain it. Unbeknownst to us at the time, we weren't required to provide one because it is against federal law to discriminate against any applicant based on marital status.
*Their dishonesty. They continued to lie to us & say the delays in closing were the VAs fault & it was the VA underwriter delaying things. This was not our first VA loan, and we did not have these issue with our previous lenders. These people just didn't want to do their jobs & take care of us so we could purchase the house in a timely manner.

After all of these issues & more, we dumped them and went to another lender who was eager to have us move into our new house with a 3-week closing. But, they managed to delay closing *yet again* by claiming they couldn't collect the $600 for the appraisal that should have been collected 4 weeks prior! So, we supplied them another form of pymnt only to have them lie (again) & say they couldn't collect that on time because their systems were down for a week. They were also refusing to transfer all of our info to our new lender claiming they'd lost access to their email system for 4 days.

The last AirBnb we were in was add'tl expense #5 of $5,300 because we still needed someplace to stay for the extra 3 weeks while the new lender got everything taken care of in a much more timely & professional manner. We were so afraid we were going to lose our house but thankfully the sellers were really great. So, because of their lies, b.s. & not processing our $600 pymnt, we had to extend the AirBnb an additional week and a half. (Add'tl time & expense #6 of 12 days & $6,250)

The additional delay forced us to rent a 10x30 storage unit (add'tl expense #7 of $500/month x 2 months = $1,000.

Because of all the issues, problems, lies & delays, what should have been a 4 wk process & should have only cost apprx $9k, wound up taking 12 wks & cost over $25k.

They ruined our Thanksgiving & Christmas. Don't do business with them you'll wind up with nothing but headache and heartache.

Do not use this company!!

Do not use this company!!

I refinance my house at the end of 2020 I thought I was getting an excellent rate and a wonderful mortgage payment. Turns out somebody made a discrepancy in my taxes and I was not informed about it for a whole year! There is a $9400 discrepancy in my account and basically my payment is now exactly the same as before I refinance because we’re trying to pay my taxes off. I reached out to the company and that’s all they did spread it out in 24 months after i had no way of knowing about this for a whole year!
so I have the exact same payment that I had before I refinanced. Mortgage solutions lol what a joke! Save your money!

Mortgage Transfer

Approximately, a year ago my husband and I made the decision to refinance our home. We absolutely understand within the mortgage business our mortgage is at the possibility of being sold to another company. It's deeply upsetting when mortgage solutions advises us that our mortgage has been sold to BSI Financial Institute that has a one star rating and a very stern warning from the Better Business Bureau. When contacted after receiving a letter from Mortgage Solutions stating they will assist with any questions or concerns I'm advised their is nothing they can do, reach out to BSI.

I'm advising any veteran families who are looking to finance or refinance their mortgage to think twice before using mortgage solutions. I'm now looking at extreme possibilities based off the reviews and BBB site.

This company is horrible

This company is horrible! We got dragged along for almost 2 months trying to refinance with them, as I’m explaining we’re in dire need of help. I had to call back multiple times just to get answers after being told they would call back. Long story short they have no idea what’s going on amongst them selves and are not willing to help longtime customers in anyway.

If I could give this loan company less than 1 Star I would.

My husband found these guys and really trusted them with the process. They said we were pre-approved just needed the paper work. Everything seemed to take FOREVER.

We finally got a call from OUR relator letting us know, the sellers realtor contacted her because the underwriters for OUR loan contacted the sellers and told them we DID NOT QUALIFY!

If that doesn’t scream shady I don’t know what does. Even if we didn’t qualify, why are you speaking to the sellers if we are apply for a loan from this company???

I would NEVER recommend this company even if someone was buying a DOG HOUSE!

People who remember they serve people too.

Two mortgages and a house sale later, I'm not sure what was experienced by others before; however, that has not at all been my experience even once. I was originally looking at refinancing through a big-box name and asked for a second opinion through a referral I'd been given. Not only did they find a better rate, but they also helped with VA requirements (which can be SUPER tedious) to ensure that my benefits were best cared for.

We refinanced not one, but TWO properties, in a matter of weeks. The team was polite and friendly and remembered they were people serving PEOPLE. When the VA created additional runarounds, they were supportive and helped us navigate through that process with education (they answered every one of my calls with a smile), with professionalism (at no point did I have to guess where we were in the process), and with kindness (they helped all through closing and called to check afterward too)!

What sent me above and beyond though was the sale of one property resulted in a Title snag (5/3rd's review won't be nearly as complimentary) in which the Lien Release document never was filed and I couldn't close on my property. Public search clearly showed Mortgage Solutions Financial filed practically the same date of the refinance, but 5/3rd never got it done.

The Buyer's Title Company was not facilitating every avenue, or if they were they didn't communicate to my realtor, the buyer, or anyone else. My realtor was frustrated, the buyer and I were frustrated, so we collectively took matters into our hands to move things along.

I called up my Mortgage Solutions team and asked, "What questions am I missing? Who else can I call to facilitate this process?" I was answered promptly, they were so helpful and friendly. I was given three phone numbers of people who would specifically be helpful in my case, and from that I found the exact person who could help push this closing through.

Again, maybe the other reviews are from a long time ago, or maybe they didn't call the right person, if so, Reva Haskin (817-768-3898) or Michael Colomb (505-608-3647) are top-notch and worth calling.

Most places wouldn't help you AFTER the fact to the extent that they did. I'm glad to have worked with them both and highly recommend their company to ANYONE needing a mortgage refinance.

Confusing billing and difficult payment

Getting the loan went ok. I was relocating due to new job and Mortgage Solutions wouldn't close without 30 days of pay stubs at the new job. Kind of understandable from a risk perspective on their end but made a job relo complicated on my end. Managing the loan after closing has been HORRIBLE. First I was being double billed every month, which was confusing. The customer service call number makes it near impossible to talk to a real person - I had to go back to my loan officer to get connected with a human. I was told I was getting 2 statements because I "pay early" and that the 2nd shows a payment. But that's not what I was getting and no one would listen. Then I stopped getting statements all together so was late one month. One of their collectors tried to call me but it was a number that showed as "Potential Spam" so I didn't answer and no one left a message. One day Potential Spam called when I was off work so picked up the phone to be read my rights by their debt collector who was totally not interested in customer service. So I got hammered by late fees and credit reporting. Tried to fix that and set up auto payments. A payment has yet to automatically be withdrawn. The billing side of this company is terrible.
