On time delivery and quality products

Hamper was delivered to my mum on time and she was extremely happy with the contents, especially that everything was high quality and British sourced and environmentally friendly packaging was used (my mum is big on this).

"Sunday delivery failed – resolution in progress"

Our son ordered a hamper from hampers.com as a gift for me, paying a premium for Sunday delivery. The tracking showed the parcel as delivered at 9:05pm on Sunday, but nothing arrived. CCTV confirms the DPD driver did not enter the building, did not ring the doorbell, and did not call my mobile.

When we raised this with Customer Care, we were told the parcel had been redirected by DPD to a Pickup Shop 'as requested' – but no such request was made by the sender or the recipient, and no one notified us of the redirection or where to collect it. As of writing, we still do not know where the parcel actually is, and the Sunday delivery premium has not been refunded.

Customer Care did respond promptly and apologised, which is appreciated. However, for a premium-priced gift service the basics fell short: the courier's status was misleading, the redirection was unauthorised, and the recipient was never informed. I'd urge hampers.com to review how DPD handles redirections on their behalf and to ensure recipients are notified directly when a delivery address changes.

I will update this review once the matter is resolved.

Update 5pm (11/05/26) : I've now collected the hamper from the pickup point. hampers.com (via Steve in their team) has agreed to refund the Sunday delivery premium, which is the appropriate outcome. I'll update the star rating once the refund is processed. I'd still encourage hampers.com to look at how DPD's "consumer acknowledgement" can be triggered without genuine consumer action, as this seems to be a recurring issue.

Woeful service all round

In fact I emailed hampers.com to share my disappointment and a week later the only correspondence I've had is this review request: "The hampers.com team would love to hear about your gifting experience"

Sent a luxury cream tea hamper to our parents . They were thrilled with it , they loved all the scones and cake , and are still eating it now. Only problem was Evri who made a complete mess of delivery but it was achieved the next day .

Beautiful gift ideas and excellent customer service

We ordered four of the beautiful afternoon tea hampers for our treasured team. They were all absolutely delighted - one of the team saying she had tears in her eyes on receipt of the gift! They were beautifully presented and full of delightful goodies.

Naomi was so helpful when I realised I had inputted the wrong address for one the deliveries and managed to contact the courier and have the hamper returned to be reprocessed in such good time.
