Marvellous the whole procedue from start to finish.All the staff i saw were brilliant i cannot praise them enough.I have no need for glasses now, other than to read.The procedure only took 90 minutes and i went home

From the moment I arrived at Sparmedica in Widnes I received excellent care. The receptionist was polite and the first nurse helpful and reassuring. The place itself was spotless and had comfortable furniture. My surgery was efficient and professional I felt reassured by the nursing staff and particularly by the surgeon during the procedure. I would highly recommend Sparmedica.

I have not yet had an appointment for treatment, but the initial contact letter for the pre- op appointment came through less than a week before the appointed date. This was a difficult date for me so I phoned totry and re-arrange. The usual queue of calls was there and I pressed the appropriate buttons and waited for a reply. It rang out for 10 minutes and I then pressed the button for a callback. Nobody called back. I went through the proceedure 3 times that day with the same results - no answer and then no call back. I tried to email to re-arrange and sent 3 emails over a period of a couple of days, but no reply from the emails either.
My designated appointment is now 24 hours away and I have given up trying to re-arrange the date. I have had to disrupt a lot of other people's arrangements so that I can attend my appointment.
If this is the customer service before you get the treatment I am a little perturbed about what lies ahead.

I attended SpaMedica, Telford. The staff were extremely caring, kind and professional, going above and beyond to put me at ease. The operation was painless and over very quickly. I needn’t have worried. Would highly recommend.

I had my first cataract operation 3 days ago and I found the whole experience very positive. The staff was helpful, kind and efficient. The procedure was easy, quick and painless. The results have been amazing as my vision is so much clearer and the colours of everything so vibrant. I am looking forward to having the procedure on the next eye.

Terrible people I had surgery 2 months ago which got infected so given drops for 4 weeks and still blurred vision.
I was due an examination on Monday so booked a day off work but they rang me Friday and cancelled my appointment so don’t know where to go for treatment as I still can’t see in the eye they done .
I definitely won’t be having my other eye done so now got to live with odd eyes with different vision they don’t care about there patients just profits avoid spamedica and use a different clinic is my advise.

Really professional from the minute you walk through the door. Really no need to write anything more.

Great staff, great organisation, even though our transport was late re traffic. The surgery went well. And even though I was late being picked up, I managed to get home , at almost the the sane time, as promised. Nothing was rushed, very professional.

This has been a RESOUNDING success!

Both operations were completed in just TWELVE MINUTES, and on each occasion, it was like taking part in an episode of "Star Trek" - ZERO sensation during the operations, apart from a VERY slight pressure sensation when the new lenses were inserted. Vision returned at what seemed like record time, and now that I have proper vision in both eyes, everything is so VIVID ... colours blaze with renewed contrast and intensity, details I never noticed before pop out before me, I can read number plates at a distance, and it's as if I'm viewing the world in IMAX Cinemascope widescreen with an utterly LUMINOUS Technicolor palette!

I'd give the surgical team 100/10 for what was a STUNNING and wonderfully educational experience. Quite simply, this is what we can achieve as a species when we put our minds to it.

It's literally a whole new lease of life.

I have had a miserable experience with this company. Insufficient information on what to do about glasses for after the procedure. Insufficient information on the actual procedure process . No information on the make of the lens inserted. It is like a production line . With the surgeon just hurrying through the list. No personal communication or care. People just walking in and out of rooms with no explanation as you are examined. My procedure was ghastly and I still have discomfort and vision problems 3 months later, and will now need another op. So no I would not recommend.
