Avoid spamedica at all cost. Nhs as gone to pot.when things go wrong after cataract surgery they shut down and don't deal with the problems they have caused after surgery. Then the hospital don't want to know and try and cover up there mistakes .they left me with a debilitating eye problem they cannot fix the hospital in Manchester eye hospital as disgarged me saying they cannot do anything for me now after cataract surgery. Avoid at all cost as I will be suing

Whilst I was a little anxious about the actual cataract surgery, I was more nervous that I would cough during the process. (I had the remnants of a cold.)I told the staff of my concerns and they immediately put me at ease by telling me I just ask them to "stop" and they would do so.
All the staff, including the surgeon, were BRILLIANT and told me exactly what was happening throughout the op. I will certainly not be nervous when I have my other cataract removed.

I had my cataract operation at SpaMedica Preston. From when I first attended for my pre-op assessment to when I had the operation the staff from the receptionist to the medical staff were polite, professional and kind. On the day of my operation I was put at my ease (I was a very nervous patient). The surgeon and the staff were wonderful. The operation itself was very quick and painless. I would highly recommend SpaMedica.

I found ALL the staff at Southampton to be caring and able to provide all information in an easy to understand way.The surgeon was again informative,and above all....gentle!!. So grateful to at last have vision with my right eye.The aftercare provided was ,yet again, to the highest standard.Thanks to ALL,and I would definately recommend Spamedica TO ANYONE.

I had cataract surgery with spamedica at bedford freedom vision as I paid, I had an E M V toric, the surgeon was in a hurry and I got the impression he didn't want to be there, he really hurt me with the clips around the eye, I said it's hurting and was given more drops to numb the eye which wasn't the case as the eye wasn't hurting just the area around the eye the clips were pinching badly, the surgeon kept saying we can cancel if you want??, the surgery went ahead and I was patched up, the next day around the eye was swollen like a black eye, speaking to other patient who had surgery the same day as me they also got the impression the surgeon wanted to get away early and was rushing procedure.

Friendly staff informative all the way through made me feel relaxed very smooth and quick service very clean and took good care of me highly recommend

Excellent care at SpaMedica. I was made to feel at ease and everything was fully explained even through the procedure. I won't be worried when having the other eye done. Can fully recommend SpaMedica. All staff were great and friendly
