My cataract op by SpaMedica was excellent. All staff were friendly and courteous and explained every stage of the procedure. They made sure that I was calm and relaxed and I have no worries about returning to have the remaining cataract removed.

Unfortunately I was given results and treatment plan in an open waiting room with other patients and their family able to hear

I took Mother for her seven week appointment.
We arrived at 09:50, ten minutes early for a 09:00 .
My Mum was attended to.
Then we had to wait a full one hour and 40 minutes to see the consultant. Only then did
Mr Smith apologise for the lengthy delay.
At no time did any of the Spa Medical staff inform my Mother, who is 91 years old, that there was a I.T. issue and apologised for the delay.
I also had a medical appointment myself, which I struggled to attended on time.
I and my elderly Mother are disappointed at the service which Spa Medical delivered today.

Just been to the one in Bradford with my sister - Absolutely brilliant. The staff are so lovely and friendly; they have seen her super fast and everything was extremely efficient.

Having had both my cataracts done, all within 12 weeks I must give total 100% credit to all the staff from receptionist right through the whole team up to and including
the post operative nurse.
They all made me feel at ease everything was fully and clearly explained to me.

From start to finish the experience was excellent at SpaMedica Warmley. All the staff were really kind and helpful. Pre-surgery checks were extensive and thorough,surgery itself was very quick.
Call centre staff are all very helpful. Would be very happy to return if I needed another procedure. I attended as an NHS patient and can highly recommend this place for cataract surgery.

Great experience overall at Stockton. Put at ease. Polite and respectful. The procedure was fully explained and aftercare advice given. The delay of 16 weeks between initial assessment and procedure was solely down to NHS policy. The procedure was painless. Lovely staff. Attentive surgeon. Good hygiene. Can't fault it. 100%

I was very nervous having cataract surgery and everyone from receptionist to surgeon was brilliant, they assured me , explained everything that would happen and I even had a nurse holding my hand gently rubbing the back of it with her thumb for more reassurance

The Cataract surgery took less than 2 hours in the clinic were friends of mine took twice that time waiting around. The waiting time at Exeter was muck less than other places. The staff were friendly and efficient.

I was dreading having cataract surgery, my eyes are very sensitive to touch. It was very reassuring going to SpaMedica, the whole process was very professional, nothing left to chance. The assessment very thorough and the surgeon reassured me before the surgery, it is painless and would take about 10 minutes, and true to his word that is exactly right

Several years ago ,I had laser treatment to stop a possible future macular bleed doe to long term type one Diabetes. It was not a good experience as there was little prior explantion of the procedure. The aftercare was also poor.
I was concerned prior to my cataract procedure. SpaMedica were 100% the oppoisite. On both my pre op assessment and also on the day of the procedure, I had any questions clearly explained by any and all of tge staff on hand and was reassured on both visits. Further to this, any patents I conversed with in the waiting rooms were very complimentary and positive about SpaMedica and their own experinces.I can be added to those with an exemplary experience

I was reassured from the start with Spa Medica from the moment I was referred . Patient care has been excellent with on line communications reminders and appointment info etc.
I appreciated the contact 2 days before the surgery with previous patient testimonies which were very reassuring.

The pre surgery measurement appointment was really well organised and I was very pleased that they had such a great process. I knew I was in good hands.

When I arrived for the surgery j felt well looked after from the start. Efficient and caring, I felt seen as a person, and everyone was caring and friendly. I was offered a drink several times during my visit, and i really appreciated a glass of water before and a cup of tea afterwards.

Surgery was great, much better than I expected, no pain or discomfort at all and it was over in minutes. Very straightforward.

I'm back again in a month or so to have my other eye done, and I'm not worried this time!
