I had an issue with a rejected payment and was going back and forth with both companies. Pal was incredibly helpful, patient, and professional. She took the time to listen to my concerns, explain everything clearly, and stayed on top of the issue until it was resolved.

Finding a service could be better
Many things are good with the service offered however the dropped stars are because there is no "find my nearest" for Osteopaths or Physiothearpists on the website. BHSF have chosen one of the approved councils but neither them nor the council publish a list of approved practitioners. You have to search online for a therapist, then check their credentials and hope that when you claim BHSF honors it. There are other just as qualified councils but BHSF won't pay out for them however qualified they are.

In respect of the 2 therapies you’ve mentioned, BHSF only accepts:
• Physiotherapy = Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Osteopathy = General Osteopathic Council (GOsC).
The reason BHSF only accepts 1 register for each of these, is because there’s only 1 register. Both of these are the regulatory/ Government appointed bodies for these therapies within the UK, and it’s a legal requirement for relevant therapists (i.e. Osteopaths & Physiotherapists) to be on the relevant register. Any therapist claiming to be a Physiotherapist/ Osteopath, and/ or provide Physiotherapy/ Osteopathy treatment, must be on relevant register in order to do so.
Furthermore, the GOsC does have a search function on the homepage of their website to ‘Search by postcode or town’ and to further check this by X miles radius. Should you ever need any help on verifying if a therapist is or isn’t registered, please either check their website(s), or contact BHSF where we will be happy to check for you.
