James was excellent throughout the process, really knowledgable and incredibly helpful in supporting us get the van of our dreams

We purchased a T6 camper back in March 2022, since then the van has been back twice with minor faults. 1st the bed mechanism and lately we had water in the rear tailgate. James arranged both repairs and they were carried out at a convenient time for ourselves. The later repair was a manufactures fault and I should have probably gone to VW direct however James carried out the repair without hesitation. Great service!!! Rob Turner

Bought our Transit Custom from John Charles beginning of September , very good and instructive handover of vehicle .
First night stay over realised the solar panel wasnt working .Took the van back and they agreed to sort it out , had it a week not their fault due to Queens funeral , but we did have to postpone our trip to spain for a week .New solar panel fitted and set off for the ferry , however only a week into our trip the new solar panel has just blown off the van going down the motorway , obviously not recoverable . So we are only one week into a 2 month trip and having to cope without the solar panel which we need as we go off grid quite a lot .Really feel that they probably rushed the job and obviously did not secure it properly .Very disappointed with this .

I was fortunate enough to purchase a VW T6 Revolution Campervan from James at John Charles Motorhomes and I have to say that the entire experience was nothing short of superb. We approached James with the intention of buying a 'camper van' once we had discussed with James our requirements, he applied his well earned expert knowledge and we agreed on a vehicle.

The sales process was unhurried and pressure / stress free. When it came time to pick the van up, James took the time to explain everything I would need to know to get up and running and also extended an expired offer of a number of accessories to me.

We have had a number of accessories fitted also and this was done to a very high standard and very fairly priced. James has also sorted a couple of 'snags' out with no dramas and continues to answer my stupid / banal questions for the hundredth time with the patience of a professor trying to explain quantum dynamics to a Sea Slug.

Overall, a quality product, at a great price supported by a great dealership.

Rarely in this modern day do you experience old fashion customer service like the one you receive from James & the team. Nothing is too much trouble, if he says he will sort it it gets done straight away & if he says he’ll ring you back, he does. It was an absolute pleasure dealing with James throughout my purchase and the quality of service was exceptional. No hesitation in recommending dealing with this dealer.

I have been looking for a camper van and found one at John Charles Caravans that had just gone on. It was the exact specs that I was looking for, and within my price budget. I contacted them via the online chat and was advised that someone would call me back. No one called the following day so I telephoned them, spoke with a friendly lady, with the promise of a call back ASAP. Now, I was very keen on this camper van so was keen to reserve it. I followed up with an email explaining what I had done to date to contact them, and what I was after. Day 3 arrives, still no contact. Vehicle is still available so I ask a friend who lives an hour away to go and see it and speak to them. Day 4 arrives, very dissatisfied with the lack of communication coming my way from this business. My friend heads down, unable to contact them, as they advise, to check that the vehicle is still available. Lunchtime arrives and I re check the site to see that the camper van has been sold. Contacted my friend and turned them around. I am seriously unhappy about the promises of getting back to me, followed up with resounding silence. I felt the need to post a review to make buyers aware of the company’s lack of communication, with regards to me, when I was keen to purchase a vehicle from them.

After searching for over a year for a VW Campervan, we found John Charles and visited to look at the VW Campervans. James was great for the moment we met him, we felt it was the right place for us to purchase our camper. We decided to buy a VW base van and have the conversion done, James talked us through all our options, made us feel so comfortable and even with a few hick up out of his control he managed to find us the right van for us, James went above and beyond, always answered emails promptly and provided such a good service before and after purchase We are so pleased with our campervan and excited for our van adventures to begin. We purchased a motorhome from John Charles Caravans just over 12 months ago. James was very knowledgeable and helpful and, unlike many salesmen, no pressure was applied, it was an excellent experience making this purchase. We had some mechanical problems with the base vehicle (it was 6 years old) but there were no issues in dealing with them, I had to return it twice to them but they were very good and covered my travelling expenses, it was with them a considerable time due to lockdowns. I have no hesitation in recommending JCC to anyone looking for a motorhome, they have an excellent attitude and the sales process should be seamless.

Dealt with James, who was excellent, very knowledgeable, he put us at ease with everything. This was quite daunting for us, as we're first time buyers of a motorhome, can't thank James enough for all his help & advice. And is still helping us even after our purchase.

James handled the sale of our Motorcaravan on our behalf. James was highly professional, extremely knowledgeable and a true ambassador for the company. He explained the process from marketing of our vehicle, through to preparation, sale and finally transfer of funds. The fees were agreed and explained beforehand. James was friendly and helpful throughout the few weeks it took from leaving the vehicle with them to completion of the sale.

He guided us through the vehicle we were interested in and was able to give us the full history and supporting documents. When we came to collect our campervan everything was ready, and the vehicle was immaculately presented.

I met with James the Manager to discuss the sale of my Motorhome and I was immediately impressed with his knowledgable, friendly and helpful approach and the fact at no time did I feel pressured in any way. I asked what he thought it was worth and he gave me an answer that was better than my expectation. He explained the Sale or Return process and I filled out the required forms. Within a few hours the Motorhome was on all the well known web sites. James called me next day to let me know there had been three enquiries and that one person had spent a few hours inspecting it and had left a deposit. A few days later James confirmed the sale and when the balance of payment was to be expected. I provided my banking details and the bank transfer was done. It was a very pleasurable experience to have dealt with such a very good professional and friendly company. James is a credit to the company.

Bought an awning for our old caravan from Burlinghams a few years ago and recently noticed they had VW campervans at John Charles. After looking at the one they had in stock and chatting about our needs, we decided that the van we were looking at was not quite right for us. James suggested that we possibly looked at a bespoke ordered van. 2 visits later we had ordered our very own Revolution VW!
